For a long weekend, music fans flood the small Tennessee town and camp out [...]

photos by Tim Griffin Fun Fun Fun Fest 2011 came to a close on Sunday night. It was another successful year for the well-rounded music fest, and the end of its first in the larger (and much dustier) Auditorium Shores. And though Ryan Gosling may have been the most talked about artist at the festival ( Danzig was a close second ), the real star was festival organizer Transmission Enertainment for putting together such a kickass [...]

Slayer closed out the third and final day of Fun Fun Fun Fest. Big fun, if not fun×3, this past weekend in Austin at the Fun Fun Fun Fest, a mixture of musical (and other) entertainment staged supposedly as an alternative to the bloated, self-important Austin City Limits festival. FFF stretched out for the first time at Auditorium Shores, which to even the drunkest concertgoer is much more space than ACL has down the road at Zilker Park. The only physical problem this year was apparently blowing dust but on Sunday - the only [...]
We realize that not everyone has the good fortune of living in the great state of Texas, but between SXSW, Chaos in Tejas, Rites of Darkness and Austin's anti-ACL, Fun Fun Fun Fest, we feel the Lone Star State has got the lock on kickass music festivals and and you're really missing out if you haven't made the trek down for at least one of them.If you're fortunate enough to make it to Austin this
Jay Ruston photo by Josh Reeder; Brian Posehn/Brett Anderson photo by Susana Capra Producer, engineer, and mixer Jay Ruston loves a challenge. He's the guy whom Anthrax hired to save their troubled Worship Music album. He's the guy who spit-shined their Sofia Big 4 performance for DVD release. He's also the dude who helped silly [...]
Fun Fun Fun Fest sort of revealed five of the artists playing the festival this year. The fest will take place from November 4-6 at Waterloo Park in Austin, TX . Watch this video to figure out who the five artists are, though You may want to use this guide for help. If you don't have the time to figure it out, we've listed the artists along with the embedded video below. Also, all of Brian Posehn 's (hint) tour dates are listed [...]
This morning, MetalSucks' own Corey Mitchell made Vince and myself aware of Andrew O'Neill, who, as the headline states, is an occultist transvestite black metal stand-up comedian from New Zealand. And having now watched the below video (in which O'Neill even dons an Altar of Plagues shirt) from the BBC, I don't actually think the dude is [...]
Making fun of juggalos is passe at this point; been there, done that, 100 times over, and everyone gets the point. But posting the annual infomercial Psychopathic Records puts out to promote the Gathering of the Juggalos is something of a ritual, always good for a few lulz, and possibly even entertaining. Once you get [...]
With the festival market so cluttered with repeat acts this year, it's a breath of - well, it is what it is - to come upon a festival bearing no overlap whatsoever with other fests. That's right, the 2011 infomercial for the annual Gathering of the Juggalos is up on YouTube! Whoop, whoop, ninjas. The 12th edition of Insane Clown Posse's own festival will take place in Cave-in-Rock, Illinois August 11-14 and feature the usual Psycopathic Records heavy-hitters: Twiztid, Dark Lotus, Anybody Killa, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Psycopathic Rydas, Marz, and of course ICP themselves will [...]
I love music, but I am first and foremost a fan of comedy. If you were to spy on my iPod, you'd see that I spend 90% of my time listening to Joe Rogan and Adam Carolla's podcasts. Music is cool and all, but you can only hear so much before the novelty wears off [...]
British thrash metal outfit Evile has announced that American comedian Brian Posehn will be appearing on their forthcoming, as yet-untitled new studio album, where he will be providing backing vocals. Speaking on the collaboration, Posehn stated: "I'm very excited that my yelling will be featured on the next Evile disc; they're one of my favorit... Read More/Discuss on Metal Underground.com

It's been awhile since we've done this, but I thought we'd take a break from the norm and offer a mix tape dedicated to great comedy, because who doesn't like to get their laugh on? So let's listen to some of these great indie-comics. Just a warning - most of this stuff is slightly NSFW... We kick things off with Aziz Ansari talking about the realities of sheet thread counts from Intimate Moments For A Sensual Evening . From there, Jim Norton tells us why [...]
I haven't needlessly lumped self newly-released videos together in awhile, and these three clips were all released pretty much at once, so I figured, "Hey, why not?" After the jump, check out the latest audio-visual offerings from Torche, Helloween, Linkin Park, and Your Demise... plus my usual bullshit commentary, of course. First up we have [...]
By Ben Apatoff The title (Collisions and Castaways) and cover art (a treasure chest washed upon the shore) of Alaskans 36 CRAZYFISTS' sixth album are probably supposed to hint at excitement and adventure. Spoiler alert: there's nothing musically adventuresome about Collisions and Castaways, and if there's any treasure on this record, it's buried too deep to ...
When you tune into the premiere broadcast of The Second Annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards tomorrow night on VH1 classic, you'll see the final public appearance of our beloved Ronnie James Dio. You'll also see Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez of Alice In Chains, winner of roughly half of the meaningful awards, enjoying the metal [...]
Hilarious second CD from "The Sasquatch Of Comedy."
Topless Robot - which has to be one of the funniest nerd sites on the web - just posted a list of "The 10 Best Sketches from Mr. Show," the great, now long-defunct HBO sketch comedy series which served as my formal introduction to one Mr. Brian Posehn. All the sketches are great, but the [...]
A new animated clip from Brian Posehn's album Fart and Wiener Jokes.
We knew that there would be a video for "More Metal Than You," the song Brian Posehn co-wrote with Scott Ian for the former's new album, Fart and Wiener Jokes, and here it is. (Also worth noting: the song features additional guest appearances by Lamb of God's Mark Morton, Death Angel's Mark Osegueda, Armored Saint's [...]
