Khloe Kardashian is getting ready for her sister Kim Kardashian 's upcoming wedding and she is excited, but also a little scared. "I'm looking forward to being in the wedding," the E! celebrity tells PEOPLE . "I don't want to help because Kim is going to be such a Bridezilla! If I do one thing wrong, I'll be screwed! But I would love to be in the wedding." As for when the wedding will be Khloe has this [...]

BRIDEZILLA With the release of its debut album early this year, Bridezilla , a five piece indie band out of Sydney Australia, return with a band new single, "Hey Girl", hitting the radio waves in Sydney and Melbourne. It features saxophonist Millie Hall on lead vocals. Recorded by Ryan Hazell at the scenic New South Wales central coast Australia, the track was born from a phone conversation. Hall explains: "The [...]

ok. Laneway Festival was a festival I'd been looking forward to for quite a while. I hadn't been before, and after the much publicised 'outcry' about last year, it was great to see it moved to the nice open Footscray Community Arts Centre. The lineup itself was impressive. I remember writing a while ago that it was a music bloggers 'wet dream' or something along those lines...and I think I was kinda right. There were some bands I wish I saw, but I'm really glad I did see the bands that I did. Local fellas [...]
Bridezilla's newest video, "Western Front", from their debut LP, out now. Bridezilla is playing with the Decemberists from Portland this week in Australia. Bridezilla - Beaches myspace

Mark Dodd's is not only an awesome dude but also knows a shitload about music. Really cool music as well. I first met him at the end of 2008 when Electrorash had been running for about 15 months or something. At the time I was working on a niche music ad network and Mark was (and still is) kicking it at Aussie indie distributor Inertia . Mark rattled off a bunch of awesome music, I pretended to know half of them, most of them are featured in this list. Over to Mark: "This is my [...]
The Bicycle Film Festival rolls back into town with the launch night on the 11th of November in Sydney. Think Nicole Kidman, BMX, fixies, bike polo and even recumbent cycling. Yes, even recumbents will be there - for better or worse. To make up for the recumbents the launch night will see Bridezilla, Jonathan Boulet, Deep Sea Arcade and Lions At Your Door take to the stage in support of the faithful pushie. The festival was created to celebrate all thinks two wheeled through music, art, and film. It's been running now for 9 years across [...]

Bridezilla 's debut album The First Dance is a soirée of luscious vocals, haunting beats and intriguing melodies. It is dark pop shaped by styles of their contemporaries including The Dirty Three and Cat Power . Bridezilla however, have developed this truly mystical style and The First Dance is a true extension of this. Did I mention that this is only their debut album? Photo: Alicia Kish In a space of four years Bridezilla has evolved into one of [...]
Bridezilla - Queen Of Hearts Bridezilla's hit-and-miss live show and celeb connects have so far earned them a bunch of hipster wrath but the toughest thing to swallow is gonna be that this album is actually pretty fucking great. There's a certain set of internet-based armchair critix who'll be pretty grumpy that the Cavefather's patronage of Bridezilla is based on actual talent rather than nepotism (which was obvs a retarded argument since it's been years since Nick Cave nurtured anything other than Nick Cave and a l'il bit of quick and dirty nepotism was [...]

"I wonder what's next" is the last line from Ms Holiday Sidewinder's soft, whispering vocals. Leaving us thinking Bridezilla have got a massive 12 months ahead of them. It seems like this adolescent Sydney five piece has been around for years with big name supports, festival slots and an invitation to all tomorrows parties . In fact we are sill waiting for their first album to sweep us up. The First Dancer has been titled for the debut release this November and from it the first single 'Beaches'. Nothing else but the sweet taste of [...]

In addition to amazing band names, I'm always a big fan when orchestral instruments are used in contemporary music, and particularly rock music. So you can imagine that I am a big fan of Australian band Bridezilla's debut EP, which I would venture to describe as a bit like Ra Ra Riot meets a (slightly less angry and bitter) Fiona Apple but less polished. The EP starts out with my favorite track,

Australia was well represented at this year's ATP NY, with three bands and countless fans that swarmed the resort for the weekend. While the first two Australian bands, The Drones and Dirty Three, have developed fantastic reputations as true indie rock pioneers the third and final Australian band of the weekend have just started on their own trek - hopefully to stardom. The young teenagers of Bridezilla have had a whirlwind week of playing four dates in New York including the one at ATP. And since I made them my Band of the Week last week I obviously thought they [...]
Monday: Autolux, Sleepy Sun, + Bridezilla @ Bowery Ballroom 7:30pm $15 [ tix ] If you missed all the fun at ATP this weekend this is your last chance to catch most of these bands for quite a while. Bridezilla in particular are an absolute "must see" band and the other two ain't too shabby either. Me, I'll be home catching up on the DVR. Autolux- "Subzero Fun" Sleepy Sun - "Sleepy Son" Bridezilla [...]
I don't think there is a blogger with a pulse that doesn't love having sensational music sent directly to them. While of course 90% of it is total bullshit from pathetic little promo email whores, there are those finds which make you get excited about the whole process. These two are tracks that have been filling my trips to and from work all weekend. Sometimes I think a good song is all that stops me from intentionally crashing my car to avoid another weekend of working. Youtube: Alberta Cross - ATX [...]
If you're not up here watching the bands you can still hear some of the fun as WFMU will be broadcasting a bunch of sets all weekend. Today they'll have sets from Deerhunter, Atlas Sound, Black Dice and more so make sure you tune in to hear it. 1:30pm : Sufjan Stevens (Stage 1) It has been ages since I last saw Sufjan Stevens, but there really couldn't be a better way to open day 2 of a festival then with the sleepy, wistful tunes of Stevens. Hopefully [...]

Although Bridezilla, a five piece indie band out of Sydney Australia have been around since 2005, they have yet to produce a full length LP until now. The band has some great following and has played extensiviely Down Under: For example, they played alongside international acts such as The Roots, The Magic Numbers and fellow Australians Wolfmother at The Great Escape music festival and supported ARIA award winning band Youth Group in April 2007. In June 2007, Bridezilla played at Sydney's famous Enmore Theatre with awarding-winning Australian bands Eskimo Joe and Little Birdy over two sold-out nights. [...]

The term "bridezilla" generally conjures up ideas of girls that have been planning the perfect wedding for ages gone wrong, but hopefully soon it will be used instead to refer to Bridezilla the band from Australia. This five piece (4 girls, one guy) have made quite an impression on their country mates and the kind of folks that know people including the folks behind All Tomorrow's Parties. They recently played the inaugural Australian version of the festival, curated by Nick Cave, and have been asked to join the New York version of the festival which is a big reason why [...]

Photo: Angelo Kehagias Two years may fly by to many of us but for Sydney quintet Bridezilla , the past two years has been an incredible roller coaster that has seen them rise from their modest school days to landing almost every major support slot. They've just kicked off a short run of American dates and are just about to play at New York's ATP festival (which is next week). This five-piece is building quite the global fan base and by the end of this year, we will be graced by their debut album [...]
