Brimstone Howl's garage rock guitar sound embodies something akin to classics like Lou Reed and The Rolling Stones or more modern favorites like Cheater Slicks and The Gories on "Suicide Blues." The track is off the Lincoln, NE band's newly released fourth full-length release "Big Deal. What's He Done Lately?" If you think they've got a lot of fuzz and feedback, wait until the guitar solo kicks in.
Sacred Heart is comprised of members from a few different Scandinavian countries, and it seems their sound has the perfect blend of natural influences, one might expect from bands of the region, intermingling throughout. The Boys (one on top of the other) went parading through the crowd, rocking it up !! When the Brimstone Howl finally came on, (after Those Darlins) they had quite the act to follow. There's a brand new album by Lincoln, NE's favorite garage sons, Brimstone Howl . This time the gang went to Costa Mesa, CA, to record "Big Deal. What's He Done Lately?" BRIMSTONE HOWL are one of my favourite bands. Period. They were supposed to play an ill-fate Memorial Day BBQ at Sailor Jerry last year. It got canceled. Their booking agent Scott asked if they could play anywhere, it didn't matter, as he said "they just love playing."
