In David Bischoff's 'Copyright Infringement', a video games pirate confronts the ultimate digital rights management system: he gets sucked into the world of the game he was trying to access illegally- unlucky for him this was a digital adaptation of The Blob, and acid dissolution ensues. Remember kids, Home Taping kills people. Your 20jazzfunkgreats truly know for a fact that this so-called story is but a synthesis of many a folk tale about the legendary 'Digital Frights Management' system that MAFIAA clad IT nerds talk about in the small hours, after the Advanced Dungeons [...]
Well this list was hard. Last year I did a top 20, this year it's a top 10 + 10. The top 10 will not be ranked, however there will be two tiers, my top 10 and my +10. This list probably doesn't even include everything; I've probably missed songs that I like more than some of the songs on the list. I lost a lot of music this year with the crashing of my hard drive into a metaphorical wall. In any case I went through my iTunes and pulled out a handful of the songs that hit me [...]

Kuigi nüüdseks on täna juba ka päikesel paista lastud, olid hommikused ilmatingimused üsna sarnased ülaloleval pildil kujutatutele. Ideaalne taustamuusika vee ja tuule peole oli selline: Bronnt Industries Kapital - European Male Mark Rydeni maailmalõpupilt on pärit imelisest koletiseajublogist.

Bronnt Industries Kapital - European Male ( buy ) Arguably it's Get Physical 's most path deviating release to date, but it's certainly a good deviation from the usual sounds of the German electronic superlabel. Bronnt Industries Kapital is the work of Guy Bartell, and on this his third album he shys away from the sounds of his work on Static Caravan and instead draws influence from Krautrock and Italian horror movie soundtracks, the result is most pleasing. Hard For Justice is available here . [...]

The first Bronnt album, Virtute et Industria , was a spectral, Lovecraftian thing that gave me the willies, and the second was the soundtrack to the Tartan DVD of legendary occult movie Häxan: Witchcraft Through The Ages. I heard Hard For Justice , the third album, in Fopp; if they'd been playing one of the others there would have been complaints, or maybe an empty shop. Or something beginning to manifest amongst the CD racks in the basement.... Which is not to say that this is underwhelming - more that Guy Bartell has [...]
I've been listening to a lot more Minimal and Techno recently. One label I have come to count on for providing me with the soundtrack to my nights at home is Get Physical. Artists like Booka Shade, Bronnt Industries Kapital, Damian Lazarus and M.A.N.D.Y are only a few of their artists who I frequently listen to. Here is a sample of a couple other artists on the label that have really got me moving. Just want to make a special note about 3 Note Jazz, this song has grown on me so fast. M.A.N.D.Y is in town [...]
