If there's one movie I could watch over and over again, it will be Empire Records (1995) . It's not an Oscar-winning or any other award-winning movie for that matter, but it has got a bunch of young movie superstars-to-be, a supeeerb boss, memorable quotes, and one hell of a soundtrack. This movie and soundtrack inspired my youth in the 1990s. Oh cliché. The ad copy makes it sound like a precursor to Windows Media Player's visualization feature, but utilizing early Reagan Era technology instead of reams of inefficiently compiled code. 1981 also seems a bit late in the trend curve to be pitching a device designed to provide Supreme Disco entertainment. Buggles (no "The", please) began as a trio, featuring future super-producer Trevor Horn, future Asia keyboardist Geoff Downes and Bruce Woolley, who would leave the group prior to their debut release to form The Camera Club...but not before co-writing the Buggles' major claim to fame, "Video Killed the Radio Star".
