This one has a lot of background behind it. From what I've gathered, frontman and founder Chris Larsen started the band as a way to reach out to his girlfriend (now band mate co-vocalist Melanie Glover) while she was abroad. Larsen created Buildings Breeding as a "fake" band which included its very own MySpace page. Essentially, a way for Larsen to keep in touch with Glover. Buildings Breeding was never meant to be a real band. Their songs were created as a bunch of love letters Christapher Larsen made for Melanie Glover while she was overseas. Buildings Breeding settled in as a fake myspace.com band from Chicago featuring four members — all alias for Larsen. Our friends from Sacramento-based band Buildings Breeding are well aware that times are tough. I ran into some road blocks the last few days...It's been good fun. Buildings Breeding began life as a completely fake band, the band was actually started as a joke by founder Chris Larsen . That's right, a fake. He had a fake MySpace page, fake members...even fake songs. There was only one problem, the fake songs were actually 'really' good (yes, pun intended).
