burns is a young upcoming producer from the united kingdom who was recently signed to breastfed by label boss linus loves . the mail in my inbox decribes his sound as justice meeting mylo and i'd say that's quite accurate. burns has already received support from annie mac , a-trak , dj mehdi and fred falke , so it's about time you guys get to know him too. so here's his debut single 'disko' in shiny three-twenty bitrate, the first of [...]
'Huge' is the best way to describe 'Disko', the début single from London producer Burns . Not without reason did Annie Mac name him as 'one to watch in 20092, Burns music is obviously influenced by Ed Banger Records and French House but pulls it in a UK party direction. 'Disko' is a Disco killer! Burns - Disko (Extended Version) (zShare) (MediaFire) 'Disko' is out soon on Breastfed . Until then check out the reMixes Burns has done for Empire Of The Sun [...]

Big tune alert! First official single from BURNS off of Mylo 's Breastfed Recordings . Burns - Disko

Lil Louis is the stage name used by Chicago-born house music producer and DJ Louis Burns. He scored a number of hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the eighties and nineties, three of which hit #1. "French Kiss," featured vocals by Shawn Christopher and spent two weeks at #1 on the dance chart in 1989. More orgasim than you can shake a chloroform cloth at! Lil Louis- French Kiss

Linus Loves sent us the new single from Burns called Disko. Last time we checked on him he put out his mix for 2k9. Btw he remixed stuff like Late of the Sun and Empire of the Pier. For me, they are kinda in the same league with GRUM sound-wise. Great to see these UK producers creating their sound with the same energy and talent as their Aussie or French contemporaries. Disko is what it's name suggests: a twisted nu-disco hymn song that's gonna keep the crowd on a dancefloors for a while. Clubs, [...]

So as I'm sure many of you know, Lark will be touring South Africa at the end of this month... here is the official press release from Griet Artists regarding the tour: This tour is LARK's once off return to SA after precisely 1 year since their last show at the 2008 RAMFEST. The band was approached by RAMFEST towards the end of last year and asked if Paul would consider doing a LARK show at the festival if they flew him back from the UK, where he resides now. The band jumped at the chance [...]

Some more Burns action courtesy of Linus Loves. We're not too heavy into the full length playlist stuff but this one is choice. We're bereft of a whole lotta collateral info but it's about time homeboy did some touring/EP-ing/album-ing. The smooth tracklist goes somethin' like this: Intro Dj Mehdi-Tunisia Bambaata Burns-Disko (Radio) Puzique- Dont Go Le Knight Club- Rhumba Beni- My Love Sees You Boys Noize- Lava Lava (Feadz Aval Aval Mix) Dj Mehdi- Pocket Piano (Brodinski Remix) Dance Area- Aa247 Djedjtronic- Farandole Bingo [...]

It's shaped like the obsolete floppy disc that we all used to have, but it's actually a CD-R that you can put music or data on. I don't think it will work on a mac drive, though.

Jonathan Coleclough & Andrew Liles - Blackburn I talked to Howard Stelzer at that BSC show earlier this year and he mentioned how excited he was about seeing Jonathan Coleclough at Brainwaves '08 . So if Stelzer was excited, I should be too. Right? Right. Well, I decided to do a little research which got me pretty excited, hoping that my modest expectations would be exceeded. Jesus. They were fuckin exceeded [...]

Heard this one from last year's Digitalism's Essential Mix, it's one of the what I call "happy house" hits from Kenny Dope aka The Bucketheads. Now theres a BURNS remix, turns it into wicked wicked electro. There ya go. The Bucketheads - The Bomb (BURNS Remix) The Bucketheads - The Bomb (John Mazella Mix) I've been wanting to post stuff from BURNS for quite sometime now. It seems the Londoner has got the skills to match with the other French electricians by the sound of his music. [...]

Oh, some more , more , more . Empire Of The Sun - Walking On A Dream (Treasure Fingers Remix) Empire Of The Sun - We Are The People (Burns Remix) Winter Gloves - Someone Great (LCD Soundsystem Cover)

If an alien was looking down on earth and monitoring our planet to try and figure out who or what the supreme being is, the alien might think that we humans are merely the slaves of the K9. Srsly, think about it. We spend all day working to make money that we in turn spend on food and toys for our masters. We are reprimanded by their vicious barking screams when they are upset with us and we are led around by a leash while they get exercise. To top it all off, we pick up [...]

SSDT: Come for the music, stay for the pictures of Samuel L. Jackson's floating head. Two weeks ago, I wasn't planning on making any end of the year lists. Why? Because I don't listen to full albums often, I have the memory of a 72 year old stroke victim, and the whole process of choosing the better song out of two equally good songs and then choosing the BEST song out of a larger list of better songs is too daunting. Plus I'm lazy. But then my friends over at We [...]

Burns is quickly becoming someone to look out for in 2009. Breastfed Records ( Mylo and Linus Loves label) has recently added this young producer to their roster. His bootleg "Make Love" has been played multiple times on Annie Mac's Mashup show and making its way into the playlists of many big name DJs. If you happen to be lucky enough to be in Sydney, Australia on new year's eve we recommend you take advantage of the chance to see him play alongside Calvin Harris , [...]

It's Friday and it's time for some nice electro. First is the Burns remix of Empire of the Sun . It's actually a nice mellow track which is 7 minutes long. Normally I don't like tracks this long, but it's actually really nice so this track is an exception to the rule. Second track is Futureflashs ' Find Your Brother , did not know he was producing his own music now. Great work! It's a little clubbier than the other two tracks. Always loving stuff coming from Futureflashs. [...]

Way overload on the goodies these last two days. Spend a little time away from the computer and this is what happens. So much good music and I only find myself neurotically clicking, clicking, downloading, downloading, oops gotta run. But here are the spoils. First up is young man Burns. I'm a little disappointed, we didn't get an e-mail, again, but it doesn't mean we don't appreciate this guy's work less. First was the amazing Late of the Pier Remix, Bathroom Gurgle (you can get it here ), and now this. The cowbells are killer, no joke, [...]

Linus Loves just hit us up with the latest effort by Australia-base Burns , whose been churning out quite a few of late. This time he turns the laptop dial onto fellow Aussie Nick Littlemore's Empire of the Sun . BTW Littlemore should totally name it Empire of Australia since between that act and Pnau and all the other stuff he's like in like 30% of the country's exports. But i digress. We Are the People builds up slowly but takes on a low key back bump that works up the original well. [...]

I haven't really decided on what album of 2008 I like the most, but Late Of The Pier' s Fantasy Black Channel is definitely somewhere on that list. I saw them live a couple of weeks ago, and the guys really put on a great show. I'm still a bit amazed of the action they put into Focker and just the overall feel of their show. Lately I've been listening to a lot of the remixes of their tracks, and I've been surprised by their quality. I thought that it would be hard to maintain all the [...]
