Though it's uneven, Beaus$Eros is still demonstrative of Busdriver's wholly unique take on hip-hop. Listening to Busdriver for the first time can be a rather jarring experience. His lexicon is as wide as his speed is blistering, and the sonic palate that his music draws from is incredibly diverse. Have you ever listened to a group's discography and then realized that their new album is coming out the next day? For me, that happened on the eve of the new Islands' album.
