We've seen a slew of young DJs/Producers arise in the online music community as of late. Rafa Alvarez aka Different Sleep seems to be next in line. Born in San Diego, but based now in Chicago, the 19 year old knows how to lay down an excellent chill track. On his track "Be My Center", a gradual crescendo leads a climactic arrangement of gliding synths, finally winding down to a smooth beat. California Wives are oddly enough from Chicago, but perhaps that distances themselves from those crazy Californians or any wives that may be the bi-product of the successful courting by a man. But all creative band names aside, Different Sleep's remix dropped one of the best driving rhythms to layer over CW's track "Tokyo". Vagrant Records have uploaded a new remix of California Wives track "Marianne" from Manchester's No Ceremony, calling it "a great, pretty chill take on the song." The original track appears on the debut album Art History that was released in September.
