Austin's other fall music festival has just announced its 2010 lineup and it is some very high quality stuff, with Dirty Projectors, Devo, MGMT, The Hold Steady, Wavves as well as buzzy up and comers Delorean and Best Coast and a ton more at this year's fest. Chicago indie rock veteran and Cap'n Jazz memeber Victor Villarreal is releasing a split 73 with Dekalb, IL math-rockers Loose Lips Sink Ships titled Eating Happens (That there to the left is the cover). The split is scheduled for a an August 27 release on Whaleplane Records . Illinois math rockers Loose Lips Sink Ships are releasing a split 7" entitled Eating Happens with Victor Villarreal (Joan of Arc, Cap'n Jazz, Ghosts & Vodka, Owls) on August 27th through Whaleplane Records. The split features Loose Lips Sink Ships' whimsically-titled A-side "Sarah Palin's Parasailing" b/w Victor Villarreal's beautiful acoustic gem "Prophesying Hypothesis". I'm back from Comic-Con in 98% one piece. Joints a bit achey, shoulders a bit sore, brain very muddled. After a slow week or so (besides Siren and the Gospels show last night), the end of July in NYC is gonna be nothing short of awesome. Too many good shows. Highlights are hard to come by since almost of these look like outstanding shows, but I'll pick the best of the best.
