This is the first music video from the band, and the production process reunited Early Winters vocalist Carina Round with director Seth Dalton, who she worked with as a solo artist on her music video for "Backseat." When we last heard from U.K.-bred, L.A.-based songstress Carina Round , she was releasing an EP as part of the Early Winters . She's been busy; Round has a full-length in the works for next spring — collaborators include Billy Corgan, Dave Stewart and Brian Eno — and she's guesting with Maynard James Kennan's Puscifer , with whom she will tour as a member and as the opening act. Brooklyn-based cellist Daniel Cho passed away earlier this summer, a day before he was to play with Regina Spektor at the Montreux Jazz Festival. In addition to hiw work with Spektor, Cho also arranged and played with Katy Perry, John Mayer, Mandy Moore, Rachael Yamagata and Coldplay. Carina Round's 2004 album Disconnection is exactly the sort of music that reminds me of what New York smells like. Why are those two artists in the same by-line? For no other reason than my personal anecdote that follows. Although as an aside, they would make a heck of a "cute" couple. An evening planned to see the fabulous Carina Round afforded me a chance encounter with Matt from Matt Von Rodereick.
