Stuarto Glasser, host of the All Around the World Music Show, called me up a little after 5pm Friday and asked if I could fill in for him. Thinking it would be a great way to attract a few more listeners I agreed. I headed home and put together a playlist of some of my favorite indie artists from around the world. The first half of the list below aired as the split show: The Indie Music Show from All Around the World. I began with some lovable indie [...]

Bergen is already home to The Whitest Boy Alive, Röyksopp, Ungdomskulen and Datarock. Casiokids continue in the fine tradition of great acts to come out of the Norwegian city. Having fallen in love with the band's single from a few years ago 'Fot I Hose' I was really eager to hear some more and 'Det Haster!' [...]

Tycho: Dive - While comparisons to Boards Of Canada will always follow him, Tycho has definitively distinguished himself from others in his ever-growing genre with Dive . With all of the great things I can say about this record, its difficult to know where to begin which is always something I want to say about someone whom I respect musically. It was hard to know what exactly this album would sound like after hearing Coastal Brake , his best song up to this point in my opinion. [...]

Casiokids have a new video for their new single 'Det haster!' The email I received about this video had the words "all manner of teddy bear abuse" so I thought it was sinister enough to post on Halloween. An fuzzy '80s tv icon also meets his untimely end. Intrigued yet? Watch it below. Click here to view the embedded video.

We've been fans of Norway's Casiokids here at GFP ever since we heard last year's joyous Fot i Hose single, and the band have just released this video for their latest slice of synth-pop genius, Det Haster! So if you want to see some teddy bears being abused in strange ways then check it out below. The single will come backed with a remix by Of Montreal no less, and is a taster for the band's forthcoming LP, Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen which is set for European release in January. [...]

♫ Casiokids - Det Haster! I like Casiokids. I like their vibe. But this LP just doesnt have any re-listening pull. Nice but quite forgettable. Great video though.4/10 [Quickies are mini-reviews that can fit into a 140 character tweet. They are of albums that people already know of but perhaps are curious about our take on it. What did you think of the disc?] Artist links: Facebook / Soundcloud / Bandcamp

Norwegians's electro-troupe Casiokids present their new video for " Det Haster! ". Influenced by afro-beat and techno, they remain faithful to their native language and mix them with trashy pop melodies. Casiokids - " Det Haster! " Directed by Kristoffer Borgli Casiokids - Facebook

The music video for "Det Haster!" was directed by Kristoffer Borgli who also previously worked with the Norwegian collective. The song is taken from new album "Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen", out now.
