
It was a cold and rainy day but didn't stop people for Record Store Day 2012. Surprised by the turnout when I got to Vertigo Records at 8:30am. There was already people in line, I was around the 20th person. Last year I was one of five people who got there at around that time. I guess the buzz and hype surrounding Record Store Day is a good thing for the indie record shops. I totally zoom by this year's event. Here is a list of what I bought. [...]

As if it wasn't weird enough that members of The National collaborated on a concert with The Grateful Dead's Bob Weir, they went and covered the recent Cass McCombs track "Love Thine Enemy" early in the set. Skip to 4:30 on the video below to check out their spirited cover. The set also included songs from The Dead and The National.

The good folk at Domino have released the new video from Cass McCombs ' latest offering, "Robin Blue Egg" which features on the enjoyable 2011 release, Humor Risk . The video appears to feature a lot of self shot footage cut alongside a coastal backdrop and a hell of a lot of tasty looking food. Don't watch this if you're hungry.
