Alanta-based band, Book Club is the new quintet founded by Robbie Horlick of the band Cassavetes. The folk project also features Leigh Anne Macquarrie lending her vocals to the album's harmonies. The first thing that captured my attention was Cassavetes' name. When I stumbled across them earlier this year I remember hoping that they played gritty, minimalist soundtrack music in keeping with their namesake . (That or that they were a Fugazi tribute band. Either way.)
