I would be lying if I said I was the biggest Cassie fan. However, its this type of track that makes me feel like she has some untapped potential. While this "edit" isn't a complete remix (in fact it sounds untouched at first), Brooklyn producer Kingdom did a good job adding a few subtle touches and adding to the futuristic feel. Check it out.
Last month, Cassie, the queen of breathy-robot electro-R&B, released her insanely great RockaByeBaby mixtape, which would still be the year's best mixtape if Chance The Rapper's Acid Rap hadn't come along. The tape ended with the twinkly, luxurious " All My Love ." And now the Brooklyn dance producer Kingdom has reworked the track, though he didn't exactly overhaul it. I'm still a sucker for this stuff. You had me at 'chopped', 'screwed', 'trap' and 'trill'. All these words are completely overused but they all still give my little heart a flutter. DJ/producer Austin Millz lays in massive badass beats merged with a Cassie vocal that's been tuned ALL the way down. I have no problem with Cassie at all.
