There has been a rumor around the "blogosphere" that the track "Stand on the World" by Keedz has something to with Justice. The fact is this track is simply a rip-off of the Justice sound and has nothing to with the band (despite the fact that Justice is listed as the number one friend on Keedz' myspace .) It seems that Universal France is trying to make a D.A.N.C.E 2008 with this track, using the the forumal of choir vocals + slap bass line. The history of this song is actually quite interesting. [...]

There are several hypothesis as to what is going on here. Recently, an "artist" by the name of Keedz popped up into the blog public. His only song "Stand on the Word" happens to use the same sample Justice used for their maybe not-so original song "D.A.N.C.E." I hope this is a future arch enemy that will play as the Justice Doppleganger. Keedz - Where's Phantom? Keedz - Stand on the Word Celestial Choir - Stand on the Word - Larry Levan Remix

I came across this incredible dirty classic while listening at Get The Curse's Top Ten Acid. While looking for a video on youtube, I found a comment that couldn't describe this song any better: " I bet there has been people who have ran out screaming from raves to check up on their children...3 hours after running up the motor-way bare footed in the pouring rain, they realized they haven't even got a child! " Bam Bam - Where's Your Child Next track in order to cool down a little is a beautiful dreamy [...]

Better to be late than to never post anything, and I apologize to my fellow blogger for falling into such a slump recently. Hopefully posting this will induce to me to to follow up with more postings. What can be said about 2007? For independent music, the year was huge, and the idea of non-independent music is a shadowy figure on the horizon I can't make out. And it's not to say that independent is cool, that it is trendy to adopt the idea of being independent and using it as a marketing scheme in itself (Radiohead), but [...]

FORESHADOWING Daft Punk, "Face to Face" - The older I get, the more the world makes it apparent that I perceive the unfolding of history - or at least musical history - in an incalculably skewed sense. It's probably an overwhelmingly obvious point to make, but since I (and, if you're reading this blog, probably you too) tend to gravitate towards more marginal artists and musical idioms, the march of time has a way of revealing what I understand at the time to be epic, world-changing events [...]
