Its December and its time for the best of/year end list. I am revealing the Top 75 on the Best of 2010 Canadian albums. As previously post, I compiled a list of fifty . With alot of albums that came out this year from Canadian acts, I decided to make it up to seventy-five. With alot of listening and re-listening. Here is a seven part on the Best of 2010 Canadian albums. Cowlick - Wires [...]

It was the first night of the i(heart)music festival at Mavericks. The turnout was not what I expected it. But I was happy to see all four acts playing one great show on Thursday night. It was also a last show for this Ottawa band (which I decided to take a Polaroid). Centretown Cripplers started off the set. It was fun and loud as always. Straight forward set. Still can't believe it is their last show as a band. [...]
List of who is playing at this year's event. Its the last week of summer and either people need some musical fun to end it off. Here is one mini-festival/show that you should check out. Its the i(heart)music festival on August 26-28. Three days of great Canadian bands/musicians playing live under one building. Five years running and could be possibly (or not) the last one for i(heart)music. Here is why you should check out this event. Thursday, August 26th [...]

Just found out that Ottawa's Centretown Crippler 's new album "There's Nothing Good About Where You Live" just released under my radar. Its eight tracks of interesting indie garage (in a faux British accent) punk rock tracks. This album picks up after Motor Points of the Face left off. Very high vibrant energy with their sound when You listen to Running Start and Beat Up Some Kids. I am still amazed that this band of seven members can make this great DIY record. At times fun, crazy and sometimes angry. Its [...]

Once more, here is August's edition of the Music Alliance Pact . For those of you who don't know about MAP, it's a collection of music blogs from around the world who band together once a month to shed light on up-and-comers from their home countries. It's sort of like the WTO without the human rights violations. This month we've welcomed five new countries: China, Greece, India, Indonesia, and South Africa . This edition showcases 31 tracks from around the world. Once again I've gone ahead and [...]

Indiecision is proud to be part of the Music Alliance Pact - a collective of 31 of the world's top music blogs and webzines from 31 countries spanning six continents. Every month, each of these 31 sites picks one hot local song that gets posted on all these great blogs and zines. This month, we picked lyrical pop duo Sridhar/Thayil 's 'Bring Me Rain' as the Indian track on this massive mixtape. They're currently working on their debut album; we checked them out at a set at the Blue Frog a couple of months ago. [...]

MAP (Music Alliance Pact) asks 31 music bloggers (now taking entries from Greece, China, South Africa, Indonesia and India) across the world to share a track from their home country that they think you should hear. My Irish pick this month: The Dying Seconds. ARGENTINA: Zonaindie Baby Scream - Ups And Downs Baby Scream is a musical project led by Juan Mazzola, [...]

MEXICO: Club Fonograma Selma Oxor - Abrazame Demonio Selma Oxor is the vindication of a blasted youth that has fun exploring rock, techno and pop, an all-in-one distorted vision that according to their MySpace sounds like "a cow giving birth". From their self-titled debut album comes "Abrazame Demonio", a moment of useless exertion perhaps, but it's one of the few perfect songs we'll get to hear this year. It effectively transitions its noisy [...]

It's time for this month's Music Alliance Pact (MAP), where music bloggers from all over the world go together and present favourite bands from their own country. This month, MAP is even bigger than usual. We're joined by bloggers from China, Greece, India, Indonesia and South Africa, and the number of participating blogs, songs and countries are now as much as 31! My own favourites this time includes especially the incredibly beautiful music from South Korea's Sunkyeol, England's brilliant The XX, Indonesia's sweet, folky pop from The Whispy Hummers, New Zealand's dark and [...]
