Familiar with the daytime heavy eyes? Those moments when you swear you have 50 pound weights hanging off each one of your eyelashes and no matter where you sit or stand, you find yourself wiping a quick drool from the side of your mouth? Where no triple shot coffee, no energy drink, no cold splash to the face can give your eyelids the strength of bodybuilder to lift that dead weight? And all you want to do is feel your head on your sweet, sweet pillow...Until we look at the clock and realize there is 10 hours still left in [...]

Heard Braxton/Palmer yet? Well, if you haven't already, you definitely should. The Olympia-based producer/DJ Sonny Thomas's latest track, "Creeper, Pt. 1," is a dark and hypnotic slice of deep house. Harkening back to the early '90s raves, the track also represents the underground currents now blooming in DIY warehouses nights. "Creeper, Pt. 13 is out now on Ceremony Recordings . (Check out another Ceremony Recordings artist, Prism House , for whom I directed a live music video.)

Our friends at Ceremony recently let us know about their latest release from Braxton/Palmer , "Creeper, Pt. 13 (yes, there is a Part 2 ) which is accompanied by this appropriately creepy artwork. This dark meditative dance track is laced with a touch of R&B due to a subtle TLC sample (from "Creep" - get it??). It is way too easy to have this on repeat, and soon you will realize you've been in a trance for hours, neglecting food water and sleep all for the beat. This is a [...]

Very sleek afterparty vibes on this new track from Olympia, WA based producer Braxton/Palmer . A classically-flipped r&b vocal sample meets some late night Detroit inflections. Part two of the Creeper single, which is out May 14 on Ceremony .
The Ceremonies chart course towards “The Land of Gathering”...wherever that is.

Thanks to Dre for putting us on to Olympia, Washington's Braxton/Palmer , and more specifically, his excellent new debut two-part Creeper single, due next month on Ceremony Recordings . " Creeper, Pt. II " is a perfect introduction to the producer's glimmering, vintage deep house, and his preternatural flair for flipping vaguely familiar vocal samples - in this case, an inspired choice from D'Angelo - into haunting, soulful post-2-AM mantras (see also: " What I Want "). Creeper is out [...]

Finally prepping their first single-proper, and on their own label, No Ceremony have returned with another heart-racing take on post-4am electronica. Hurtlove will be released on May 19th and its swirling mix of stabbing piano and chopped vocals sit brilliantly against the songs somewhat hypnotising video. Check it all out below. Their debut LP is set for release later this Summer. https://www.facebook.com/nocer emony
