Time to champion a champion, so to speak. Champion Sound Records to be more precise. The Belfast-based label have been absolutely killing it with their recent releases. Home to Ryan Vail - who made this delicious mix for us last week - and a handful of other great artists, they've upped their game again on latest release, I Cry . Featuring Gemma Dunleavy on (rather stunning) lead vocals, I Cry is the lead track from Unknown's [...]
Before Dirty South lets loose his remix of Monsta's " Messiah " and begins his tear through the summer, he is revisiting his debut album for lengthened cuts. The first extended mix to drop off Speed Of Life is "Champions," one of the standout tracks among the original release. Its bass-driven backbone and underlying synth-work sees "Champion" as the flip-side of its counterparts, and the extended mix draws out some of the hardest hitting sounds that Speed of Life has to offer. Purchase: Beatport You just finished [...]

As they are huge fans of David Bowie, The Penelopes have whipped up and are giving away this stellar remix of their hero's classic Let's Dance . Just like the Parisian duo themselves, this track is all good vibes and fun times. They've incorporated the perfect amount of original vocals to keep that Bowie vibe intact, while infusing it with their own signature synth work and disco funk. If you're a fan of either party, you won't need to think twice about picking this one up. The guys are set to release some new material early on this summer as [...]
Following an eclectic and unique set delivered by Atoms for Peace , this week’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix features Australian-based DJ and producer Dragan Roganović - more commonly known as Dirty South . Dragan has recently released his first official album on his own label Phazing titled Speed of Life . In light of this, this week’s Essential Mix was loaded with tracks from the debut album as well as several clever mashups of his own material with other well-known tunes. Maintaining a high energy level throughout the entirety of [...]

By Jürgen Bergbauer I don't know, it just felt right.

First off, Diddy is just hollering in the background, not really a feature here. Second off, I've never really been a huge MGK fan. I usually skip over his stuff. Gave this one a listen tho, and gotta be honest, he ripped it. Sounds like some magazine execs or writers from The FADER and XXL pissed him off. Some people close up when things don't go their way, but the great ones use failures and let downs as ammunition to light the fire in their belly. Clearly this is how [...]
Machine Gun Kelly links up with the boss, Diddy, for some visuals to his track 'Champions' which samples Queen's classic 'We Are The Champions'. Lace Up is in stores now and Black Flag is on the way!

Yeah, this definitely will no catapult her onto the charts. Filed under: Audio GaGa , Beats , Yankee Panky Tagged: champion , music , new , singke , t-boz , tlc
![[Video] The Cool Kids: “Champions”](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4673068_lg.jpg)
I know most of us are probably bummed out about Mickey Rock's statement on when The Cool Kids would release another project, nonetheless here's something that might help you ease the pain (or make it worse). Here we have an extremely rare video for their track "Champions", which made its way into the internet. The joint was featured in the 'Gone Fishing' mixtape and a fan-favorite since it dropped, so I'm really glad we got to see this unreleased gem directed by GL Joe and HYSTK. CHAMPIONS from Æ • [...]

Son Raw is bringing back the 8-track. New York invented the mixtape but London perfected the tape pack: multi-cassette recordings of the best Jungle and Garage raves for those too young attend and those who want to relive the magic. In the days where 12" singles were the medium of the mix, these epic compilations offered a glimpse of the music how it was meant to be heard: in a big room with a crowd full of people off their head. And while the format hasn't survived outside of a few speciality blogs' archives, the [...]

As The Chevin brace themselves for their official release of their debut album Borderland this upcoming Tuesday, let's wet your appetite with a disco-infused remix from London-based Penelopes . As we know, "Champion" is the lead single from The Chevin's forthcoming album, and was subject to having its own EP named solely after this track. You can bet Coyle Girelli and company have quite a bit resting on this song along. So in the mood of the week, following up yesterday's fantastic list of new music, let's turn out heads towards this [...]

I always find myself taking note of remixes especially when they pertain to more indie pop rock songs. Sometimes they can be done really poorly, as is anything in the musical world, but particularly so because of how seemingly drastic the difference is between indie pop rock songs, and electronic bangers. On a basic and fundamental level, yes, they are both just continuous and repeating levels of lows and highs. But the goal is different: lyricism and word play vs. technique and musicality. The reason they are similar though, is because it is music that can connect with the body. [...]

Here in Cincinnati, we love to champion the local boys and girls that have gone on to have national success. And two bands that have done just that in recent years are Wussy and Heartless Bastards. So leave it to the local champions over at Shake It Records to recognize them on a sweet piece of vinyl, at the same time. Yes, you can now get your hands on the latest in the "Dangerous Highway: A Tribute To The Songs of Eddie Hinton 73 series put out by Shake It Records and both bands are featured. [...]
