I scaled it down a bit and picked five artists that have been on my radar recently. Of course, this is just my personal opinion. The Needle Drop
The Needle DropRed Horse is an intense improvisational noise duo. They're made up of percussionist Eli Keszler and guitarist Steve Pyne. The five tracks they've pulled together on this debut album are pretty fantastic. They highlight everything I love about noise, live instrumentation, and improvisation. The music here ranges from intriguing to deeply disturbing. Sometimes, the sounds feel like they're reaching right into my ear canal and attempting to remove my brain.
