Our friends Chapter 24 have sure come a long way over the last few years, and every bit of praise is throughly deserved in our opinion. With that in mind, it's an absolute pleasure to unveil their forthcoming US tour dates. The band will be kicking things off at Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco on February 23rd, and ending the tour a month later at Hemlock Tavern in the same city. Time for the next Chapter (hahaha)... Chapter 24 are a London punk-funk band specialising in bitty, bitey songs will frantic riffs and aggressive, stomping drum beats. They're fast-paced, inventive and, most of all, bonkers fun. On 'Gregory', singer Claire Smith delights in repeating "laminate - ooo-oh"; 'Hepcats' sees her seemingly enter a race with the bass guitar, each spurring the other one to faster recourses in a Deliverance-like competition. Posting has been rather sporadic on here as per usual, but I think we have more than made up for that with this (and the other two that are in the works). We've got summery indie pop all the way through to some thundering and swaggering rock and roll - but I can't try and take all the credit for finding these - at least a couple were spotted by the fine folks over at The 405 - so hat tip [...]
