I've only heard the name "Mitzi" used on old ladies and Pomeranians. To my surprise Mitzi is also an disco pop four piece from Australia. The power team is made up of memebers of BMX, Comic Sans, Charlie Why! and The Gallery Kiss. Their tour history is also worth mentioning as they've provided support for Metronomy, Little Dragon, Neon Indian, Bag Raiders, and The Swiss. Here are some songs from their 'All I Heard' EP off of Future Classic. They'll be releasing a remix EP in the next few weeks so make sure to revisit this post in the near [...]

I know we post about Louis La Roche like....every fucking week - but the man is a music making genious/Adderall ridden machine. Anyway his remixes are still great as is his own stuff which he's been releasing of late. Here are a couple Louis La Roche - Super Soaker (M) Louis La Roche - Malfunction (M) Patricia's hometown of Brisbane has never been good for much. Its heat and inability to shake the [...]

Charlie Murdoch is Charlie Why , he's from a place called Brisbane, Australia. He's also apart of a million quite descent things like Rio Labotomy ( check them out !) and Comic Sans ( check them out too !). He recently released his debut EP on the Bang Gang label and if I'm lazy (warning, I am) you could say he was Australia's answer to Jackson And His Computer Band.... but with dancier beat? Download - Charlie Why - Drill [ M ] Preview - [...]

[Artwork: Mitch Beige Brown] Charlie Why (Charlie Murdoch's solo project) just released his long-awaited debut 6-track EP 'I Am Deliciously Wired' on Bang Gang 12″. 'Mountain Body' sounds delicious! Grab it below and don't ask why... Charlie Why: 'Mountain Body' [ mp3 ] You can buy Charlie Why's EP here

Brisbane youngster Charlie Why , aka Charlie Murdoch, is a busy man. He is adding a lot to the Brisbane music scene and is apart of several great band/production aliases including production duo Rio Lobotomy and bands Mitzi and Comic Sans . He also just released a great EP for his solo project Charlie Why! on Bang Gang 12 Inches . It's a great individual release and the sound is very much his own. Charlie is doing want he loves and isn't following trends; refreshing. Charlie Why! - "I [...]

Charlie Why! is yet another Australian producer makin' it big; experimental electronic with a touch of tribal is his thang. It's something that you can drift off to, something you can groove to, something that you'll enjoy. He's just been picked up by Bang Gang so evidently we'll be hearing a lot more from him. This pleases me. Download: Singing Nina - Charlie Why! (Alt Link) Download: In The Sun - Charlie Why! (Alt Link) Enjoy.

This new twelve from The Heels Of Love is a real corker. Coming straight off the back of their great release on Under The Shade , this bad boy comes equipped with remixes from Fabrizio Mammarella and Ajello which are both ace. It's really dancey dance, lots of well matched synths, carefully layered percussion, and it's very thoughtfully structured. A very fine record indeed! The Heels Of Love - Quiet Please [ buy ] I can find very little info about Eddie Tour which is annoying because I [...]

THE 'BRISBANE, QLD' EDITION RIO LOBOTOMY ... ... is a collaboration between Charlie Murdoch (Charlie Why/Mitzi) and Adam Hunter ( WolfGang DJs / We're Wolf) from Brisbane, Australia. Their first project together is a re-working of the club classic 'Bostich' from Yello, as part of Beatport's 'Legends of Electronic Music' remix series. Inspired by the punk attitude to electronic music adopted by the likes of In Flagranti, Padded Cell & Optimo, as well as infomercials and quiz shows of decades past - expect to hear and see more from [...]

Spruce Lee , the Sydney producer/DJ who is 1/4 of Roshambo and 3/4's dude, has done a remix for young Brisbane lad Charlie Why! Its quite nice! Charlie Why! - "Lips" (Spruce Lee Inner Jungle Mix) Charlie has also been making some music with a lovely little sidekick naming the project Banshee Banshee . Not sure if there is more to come. But i'm liking the experimental sounds. Banshee Banshee - "L'avenir"

Originality doesn't even come close when describing Charlie, Why! In my book this totally in it's own genre. Experimental electro, with ghost-like synths in the background, makes this music so godamn good. If I were to put words on it and descibe it with foods. This would be a soup with the basic water in it, carrots and some deepsea fish in it, looks scary but tastes great. Sorry for the fish image. Just had to explain it somehow. This music is happy dance music but at the same time, scary and [...]

I posted youngster Charlie Why! back here . The poor guy copped a bit if heat. I'm sticking by the kid. He's doing his own thing, and that's what counts. If I could make songs like he does when I was 17 I'd be damn impressed with myself. Little old Charlie Why! Is celebrating his 18th birthday in fine fashion next month supporting Beats in Space's infamous Tim Sweeney and Cousin Cole for Lick It's 2nd Birthday. Birthdays galore. Charlie Why! - "Drill" [...]

Alphabeat, FrankMusik and Leon Jean-Marie - Digital Love (Daft Punk cover) Shwayze - Buzzin Ft. Wale (DJ Skeet Skeet & Cory Nitta Rmx) The Tough Alliance - Miami Charlie Why! - In The Sun

Seventeen year old Charlie Why! should probably be hanging out at a chocolate factory with Willy Wonka. But instead he is mucking around on Logic 8 making experimental tunes which remind me of Jackson and His Computer Band (all hail jackson). I spoke with Charlie the other night and he reckons he has some more tunes which are so knew they're not even on his myspace yet........ I'm swapping my golden ticket for them. Charlie Why! - "In The Sun" (mp3) [...]
