During their show at Reggie's Rock Club a few days ago, Philly's own Chiddy Bang decided to give the crowd a preview of what's to come from their new album, Breakfast . Sounds pretty good, guys. Hit the jump to check out the second track.
Chiddy Bang were on a recent radio run and stopped in a handful of cities to hit the local stations and a perform a show every night. Xaphoon Jones and Chiddy have continued to step up their live show skills, but have kept their signature freestyle sessions during a show. Chiddy and Xaph will take words shouted out from the audience and Chiddy has to include each of the words or subjects into the rap. Ya'll G-men clowns get Missy Modell , we get Chiddy Bang ...#winning...No offense to Missy though, she's great, and who knows, maybe Ja Rule or Jim Jones will come out with a pro-Giants track by Sunday afternoon. Likely won't make a difference though. Also, great to see that Jam'n 94.5 - the hip hop station any Mass fan grew up on - is still rocking the same logo since the mid 90s. I had that bumper sticker plastered all over my locker, wattup.

Chiddy Bang link up with their Philly brethren The Roots to slaughter this Jimmy Fallon Show performance of "Ray Charles" the single off their upcoming debut Album Breakfast dropping 2/26 (Pre-Order) . This is both incredibly cool and badass. Its been amazing watching Chidera and Xaph come up from the Swelly Express days, until now as we await the release of their debut LP. If you listen to Chiddy Bang then you'll know what I'm talking about when I say that they've got the hottest samples in the indie/alternative hip-hop scene. The Philadelphia based rap group has sampled some of the most top blogged artist out there such as Yelle, Cee-Lo Green, Darwin Deez and MGMT, which has made them the ideal college party music in the past couple of years. Their track Danger Zone samples one of my favorite Ratatat tracks from their LP3 entitled Falcon Jab and is without a doubt, Chiddy Bang's best sample. [...]
