Chicago's Like Pioneers are set to officially release their debut album, Piecemeal , through Abandoned Love Records on August 17th. The album is currently available digitally at the band's Bandcamp page (name your own price). The band features members of Bound Stems and The Narrator, and was formed this past December. Maybe I'm just getting old, but THE APPLESEED CAST 's latest output, Sagarmatha , features some of the most unintelligible vocals I've ever heard on record. The first ever LOL Arts Showcase is today at the Coffee Bar in San Francisco . The art show and silent auction is a benefit for Partners in Reading which helps with adult literacy.
