Yesterday, Chromatics made their giant double-album Kill For Love available in full stream over on their Soundcloud page, and we couldn't be happier. There's been a few comparison's to M83 's last album (my favorite of 2011) Hurry Up, We're Dreaming in the size and scope of the whole endeavor, but the new work is a complete joy in itself. This is a very yummy album. For all y'all that loved the Drive soundtrack (and have never heard of Chromatics), this the group from where a lot of the tracks come from and was produced by the original producer of the Drive soundtrack, Johnny Jewel. The opening track is a cover of Neil Young's "hey Hey, My My".

In 2007 Chromatics released an album titled NIGHT DRIVE , that's not really where we got our name but it's a good start to this article. Stereogum and Prefix claim Kill for Love is the best album release this week and we don't think they're too far off. As expected, the new album is comprised of a bunch down-tempo synth pop ballads however there are a few tracks that will get your head bopping. Chromatics of Portland, Oregon just released their new album Kill for Love on Tuesday. On first listen its pretty awesome. The group consists of singer Ruth Radelet, Adam Miller on guitar and Nat Walker on drums. The producer Johnny Jewel (also in bands Glass Candy and Desire a side project we he and Walker) just posted the entire album in one continuous mix on his Soundcloud spot for everyone to enjoy.
