I just realized I had written out a nice, long entry and deleted the text file without actually importing the text and publishing it. Now I'm going to have to write this all over... Last night was not cool. And by that I mean it was unbearably hot. I did not sleep a wink, and I say that without hyperbole. At four o'clock in the morning I was sitting at the computer, Googling ways to survive without air conditioning. Nothing worked. Everything seemed to contract itself. Whereas some "survivors" advocated turning the fan to face the street to [...]
Yesterday I had the somewhat lame idea to do a two-for-Tuesday type of thing today and, in the middle of figuring out what songs to use, I realized that it was already Tuesday and I wouldn't actually be posting until Wednesday. The best-laid plans, eh? Here were a few that were on my "maybe" list. Lampshade "Good Day Sunshine" (Beatles cover) I didn't think I'd ever see the day when a Danish/Swedish twee cover of anything might be too sickly sweet for even me. [...]
Ex-Trenchmouth drummer, current weekly funnyman Fred Armisen contributed to last night's Tomorrow Show. Today I walked around town today, stopping at Sea Level to buy some half-priced albums before they close their doors. Tonight there was good home-cooking (or so I imagine, I ate a pizza while everyone else labored over the stove and oven) followed by an all-too-brief barbecue/party at a house in the Echo Park hills. Truly it was a good weekend. This is where I'd express dissatisfaction at tomorrow being Monday if I actually had a job...but I don't. So I can talk about anything! Unfortunately, I [...]

Sorry for the rage I just spent four days in Toledo with my family. That's enough to make anyone fucking hostile so excuse my aggression. Let's Rock. The Big Thing Reality Bus 3 Reasons No Junkies So I'm [...]
Lord Nuneaton Savage is back from his lair, and he's got some...erm, SPEED. When he characterises his writing as 'infantile', the adjective rises to Nietzschean dimensions (in a good way). Anyway,... To some degree I'm repeating myself here, but plod on dear reader... there are extenuating circumstances. Amy mentioned that I've been sick. It's true. Not run-of-the-mill cold, flu or whooping cough ill, but one of those things where you're having nurses swap out new IV bags, one in each arm, for almost a week. I'm better now thank goodness (the stew was perfect, Am, merci). About halfway through my medical vacation they switched my drugs to something that can affect your hearing if you're not careful. Being mildly paranoid (which isn't a bad thing in the [...]
"How can they be brothers if their names are so different?" -- A caller questioning the fraternal status of Charles Sheen and Emilio Estevez "Wow, they’re really rallying around me." -- Mel Gibson on Patrick Swayze, Patrick Swayze, and then Patrick Swayze coming to his defense "Those animals back in coach deserve what they get." -- Tom, flying for free in First Class+ "It’s not my fault you can’t do math." -- Tom, responding to a caller who stubbornly insisted that 62 + 43 = 105 [...]
