One of my favorite things to post up here, is new versions of classic tracks that you know. Well today I've got a new track featuring a sample from the 902s hit, Chumbawamba - Tubthumping (Get Knocked Down). It's from the duo of electro house producer Acetronik & mashup artist 3LAU who brought you the recent Journey mashup. Now the 902s sample they use may not be your favorite 902s anthem, it's a track most of you will remember, so it's only right it gets turned into a sick new dance banger. It's got just enough of the original to [...]
We all know Pop music is really the work of the devil, even Bill Hicks agreed with that fact. So why do death metal bands get to hog up these unreadable satanic logos? Well that's where artist Mark-Hall Patch stepped in, and reimagined some new death metal logos for some of pop's biggest stars. This ...

This band knows how to put on a show, but they ain't no clowns // Follow Owl and Bear on Facebook and Twitter for contests, MP3s, and links that don't make it onto the blog.
I know they're just the BNP, but played for laughs, but who at UKIP thought it would be a good idea to use Chumbawamba as their conference theme song ? Former singer Dunstan Bruce is fuming over the politician's unauthorised use of the pro-anarchy song and admits he will consult lawyers if it continues. He tells Britain's The Guardian, "This song being used by Ukip is so wrong. I am absolutely appalled that this grubby little organisation are stealing our song to use for their own ends. It's beyond the pale and if they use [...]

They Might Be Giants became the first band on AV Undercover to have one of their songs covered and to do some of the covering, with this spirited rendition of the Chumbawamba classic(?) "Tubthumping." The band even went to the trouble of recruiting the staff of the AV Club to sing backup. Pretty fun stuff. Enjoy. They Might Be Giants covers Chumbawamba
They Might Be Giants covers Chumbawamba Somehow, the AV Club managed to get They Might Be Giants into their Chicago offices to cover the Chumbawamba song "Tubthumping." TMBG then cajoled what feels like the entire office into singing with them . It's like the geek version of " It Gets Better ." Regardless, how awesome is this tune? Basically, you're like "I don't want to watch this" and then you clicked play and then you were like "Fuck. Yes." Tweet

They Might Be Giants make us remember why we loved 'Tubthumping' by Chumbawamba when it first came out.
Undercover, e convidou a equipe do site A.V. Club para cantar junto no pequeno estúdio do site. Não espere grandes inovações deste cover: o They Might Be Giants mantém o [...]

They Might Be Giants are the latest group to drop by the A.V. Club offices to participate in their ongoing 2nd A.V. Undercover Series.

In 2008 James Hetfield was asked how he felt about his music being used to torture prisoners. "Part of me is proud because they chose Metallica," he told his interviewer. "I can't say 'Stop.' I can't say 'Do it.' It is just a thing — it's not good or bad." And you thought Lars Ulrich was a knob. Torturing James Hetfield comes from Chumbawamba's 2010 album ABCDEFG . This podcast is, as you will already know, very, very late. Personally I blame a combination of the RNLI, gin, and the fact that Mrs. Toad is away all week, which meant that yesterday wasn't really available for blog things. It's also not very new music-orientated either, so hopefully those of you who come here pretty much just for that won't be too disappointed. I think what happened was that I got so into a handful of new releases recently that I neglected all the others, so when I came to sit down and write about [...]

Today I am off to Aberdeen to see Meursault play, get cabbaged with Paddy and Andy from Gerry Loves Records, and put up some posters for the Yusuf Azak album launch gig. We will record this week's podcast with monumental hangovers, probably in Andy's Mum's living room I think. My ambitions are limited to scoring a coffee and a bacon sandwich, anything other than that will be excessive. Some interesting news in the world of Rupert Murdoch and his lovely, cuddly NewsRape corporation - the company which brings the world Fox News, a news channel so full of [...]

Justin Nozuka - Mr. Therapy Man "I gave her all of me, Gave her my soul And that was exactly what she stole from me" Let me introduce this talented man to you right here! He is one of my all time favorite artists and his songs do not disappoint. His words mean so much, he is a great singer, and has a presence about him on stage. I think I've gone to see him about 5 times already. I try not to miss him in the Los Angeles area. The first [...]
