02 This summer, one of my favorite local bands, Churchill , released a set of covers they'd done of different Denver bands. I love that this city can do something so wonderful in a self-contained fashion. Their cover of Meese 's "Standards" was my favorite of the bunch. It was another great Saturday at the Ottawa Folk Festival . Due to the hectic schedule, I got a chance to do a short interview with Kim Churchill . What a nice person he is and so down to Earth. I don't post about Churchill much here because they're friends and that doesn't seem fair, but sometimes I just have to share. I had a seriously amazing night over the weekend with this band and have been listening to this song all week.
