Handsome Furs , DRI & The Cinnamon Band are coming to Louisville's Skull Alley on July 16th!! Handsome Furs released a new album (on SubPop) back in March and it is ridiculously good. They are now out on a hefty tour, currently in Europe, then back to the States at the end of May. Apparently people really like Handsome Furs , because the band had a surprisingly large crowd for a late Tuesday night at Skully's. It's particularly surprising because Handsome Furs is a mere side project of Dan Boeckner, who is Spencer Krug's songwriting partner in Wolf Parade. Boeckner enlisted the help of his wife, Alexei Perry, to create a distinctly different sound arising from the limitations inherent in a two-person band.
