You know how hip bands are all abandoning vowels so they have awkward names that you don't know how to pronounce until you hear someone else fuck it up and some pretentious hipster corrects them (thus validating your pronunciation)? NRK1 is kind of one of those dudes, but within reason. Hailing from Lithuania, Narimantas Venckevicius opted out of the hard-to-pronounce name game by shortening it down to NRK1 (I completely back this). Mouthful of letters aside, the music is no joke - NRK1 has a wonderful sound that is in-line with the crazed [...]
Source In April this year, Amorphis released their latest album, Circle . The Wanderer is the 3rd track from the album, and now the band also released a video for this song (which is available at the bottom of the page). Also this year, the band is going to perform with Iron Maiden in Helsinki, according to their official facebook page: Amorphis is confirmed to support Iron Maiden at Helsinki Olympic Stadium in July! The band replaces the cancelled Bullet For My Valentine support [...]
Listen to all heavy new releases! At least three of them are your new favorite thing :)

Okay about us. Circle started life in my (Radi Safi) bedroom in 2004 while I was still listening to a lot of Eels and Flaming Lips. I think those influences are still there. It was always about the song and never about a cohesion between songs for the album which I think a lot of great bands do very well. My first two releases were under the name Opanoni but after putting a band together we felt and agreed that a name change was the right thing to do. The label (Monday Records) which is our label was already starting [...]
![Colossal Gospel // Circles [LP]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4909938_lg.jpg)
Colossal Gospel is a duo out of Leeds, Alabama that makes this wonderful gothic folk sound that seems simply from another world. Traces of early Robin Pecknold are in the vocals, and the instrumentation has the waltz like candor of Grizzly Bear and even more so of The Department of Eagles . "I Have Heart, I Have a Heart" is one of my favorites on the album, even as it clocks in at over nine minutes of sweet and slowly drifting melodies. The whole sitting in the shade with a cold drink on [...]
All in all, there are some songs that really stand out on this album but they do so, on an album that is not that memorable. - By Justin Petrick.

I was an avid book reader as an elementary aged kid. I would read way more books than any my classmates (and it wasn't even close). Part of it was because I liked to read more than playing video games or watching television. More of it was that I loved pizza. My elementary school participated in Book-It, a program sponsored by Pizza Hut, which would offer free personal pan pizzas for students who reached a certain reading goal. Because Pizza Hut knew how to draw kids in, I spent the first eighteen years of my life surviving on [...]

I feel like today needs a good shine to it, so I wanted to play this new track from Circle right off the bat. It's just a pure spirited pop song from the moment it launches off, with multiple mini sections within the song...some parts are have just tinkering keyboards, while others have this driving guitar working. I just want you all to have a smile on your face today, and the best way to do that is to give you some classic indie pop goodness to force that smile upon your face. Keep [...]
Each night I tend to wander through my SoundCloud and Twitter looking for songs just released and songs that may be new to me. There is no shortage. I tend to tweet my finds using the #nowplaying hashtag. Primarily, this is a way to expose the band and maybe get a few plays for the song. Also, it is just a way for me to remember songs I want to go back and listen to again! So, this is all about discovering new music. What could be better? Enjoy! Madness and the Film - London [...]

Source . Amorphis - Circle album artwork The song Enchanted By The Moon is the 8th track from the upcoming album Circle , which is going to be release on 19th April this year. Talking about the album artwork, Tomi Joutsen , the vocalist says that: The mystic, androgynous person on the cover represents a spiritual guide. This character was sent from another time and place to help the album’s protagonist find a new path for his life. Also talking about the album [...]
How is your weekend going, valued reader? I'd hoped for quiet time spent writing a new short story I've been trying to sort out in my head, but an opportunity to go out on the town presented itself last night and I could not refuse. Poor Ben was supposed to go on a date but [...]
Between the music studies and the day job creating flower arrangements (for Valentine's Day, miss Valentine even held a flower bouquet stand at the Maison Kitsuné Paris boutique!), classically trained Alison Valentine crafts feminine laptop pop just like the delectable and tropical "Circles and Triangles" featured on the new Kitsuné AMERICA 2 compilation! We asked [...]
Producer of mystery Zomby has come out with a new track drowning in it's heavy atmosphere. There is a soundscape of echoes that dominate this song, It lives and breathes around you, it aims to completely encircle and engross you within it much like this two people in the subtle visuals for the song. The increasing tempo make the spin of these sounds more and more dizzying and hypnotizing listen especially when played loud. "W I T H L O V E" will definitely get in your head.

Blurred City Lights: Neon Glow EP - Blurred City Lights consists of Dean Garcia and Jarek Leskiewicz. Before teaming up with Leskiewitz, Garcia was known for his work with Curve and SPC ECO . Neon Glow is the duo’s first EP and even though their lyrics are little, they have Rose Berlin, as a special guest vocalist. As this album starts out, the first track is self-titled 'Blurred City Lights'. This song starts off with dream-like melodies before the vocals kick in. A very chill song, and in my opinion a good [...]

For some reason today I awoke two and a half hours before my alarm was set to awaken me, and could not fall back asleep. Do you have any idea how frustrating that is!? Well…actually…you probably do. I think that happens to everybody. Sorry for the momentary lapse in logic. I'm usually a bit more…with [...]
