Chicago's fiction writer and playwright Joe Meno will be reading excerpts from his newest novel, The Great Perhaps , at the City Lights Bookstore this coming Tuesday (7pm, free). My friend blasted Red Man & Method Man's new track "City Lights" feat UGK over the weekend giving his friends J and Nasty Kutt a shout out for producing the beats on this. This is a collaboration that I never saw coming. I'm assuming "City Lights" is off Meth and Red's Blackout 2 , which is supposedly scheduled to be released later on this year. I still regret not buying one of those "Blackout 23 shirts at Rock The Bells in Chicago last year, but luckily I got to see them tear it up live and it was one definitely one of the best and most energetic hip-hop performances I've ever seen.
