Deep Time is an Austin, Texas based band that I know pretty much nothing about. Their self-titled album comes out July 10 via Hardly Art . Clouds is a sample from the album and it has an interesting sound to it. I don't know if I like it that much, but maybe after a few more listens it'll grow on me. Clouds , the Scottish boys signed on Tiga's Turbo Records really pump it out with this little techno gem. Through creating a sneaking sense of variety with some brilliant automation skills and crescendo structure, they prudently fool the ears by appealing to our lust for continuity and simplicity with some complex difference. Definitely a great little bassey number for the saturday night d-floor.

Dylan Baldi scratches a lot of rock n' roll itches with his songwriting work as Cloud Nothings. His early work plucking songs into a cassette recorder harkened back to early Guided by Voices lo-fi, while Cloud Nothings' self-titled 2011 album reveled in sugary splashes of indie guitar rock. Their latest effort, the Steve Albini-produced (ahem, sorry, "recorded") Attack on Memory specializes in lean, muscular, post-punk.
