it's time to celebrate the next single off of clubfeet's 'gold on gold' lp out on plant records . the original is a pop ballad that sounds fit for a afterschool segment about the difficulties of growing up. although it might be tongue in cheek, a spoonful of sugar pop always helps digesting the tough topics. clubfeet - teenage suicide (extended original mix) eli escobar outdoes himself again on his lazy day, spaced out version. he takes the sugary bubble-gum pop out and injects it with [...]
This week's edition of The Weekly Everything is dedicated to hangover Saturdays and Kap10Kurt for making my Friday night by playing Clubfeet to a crowd of people who really just wanted to dance to Kid Cudi's Day 'N Nite . My fondest musical memories of Chicago nightlife were not made by residents of the 312 area code, but by the people that visited and imparted their eclectic tastes upon the city. So, if you're reading this, thank you! Kleerup - On My Own Again (216 kbps VBR) [...]

80's old school synth pop, mixed in with contemporary beats and CSS-like anthem chants in the chorus - that's how Clubfeet 's latest single Teenage Suicide, in a nutshell, sounds like. Clubfeet is an Aussie electro outfit that once again enforces the already solid dance music scene in the land down under. Yes, quality dance music is hard to come by these days. Check out their myspace for more song streams, as well as their iTunes page for some downloads. [via The Culture of Me ]
Yet another Aussie electro act to watch out for this year you guys, Clubfeet are burning up our speakers with this new track, "Teenage Suicide". It's very easy to see why we love it, in that it's got that shrill sort of vocal patterns and completely retro-yet-current 80s arrangements. It's haunting, slow-burning and super super addicting. If you're into truly "intelligent" dance music, consider this your perfect remedy for what to put on while you pre-party. And if that doesn't catch your fancy too much, just consider the next track: a remix of The Teenagers , a [...]

Sorry everyone, but HostGator decided to update MySQL so Welikeit.indie was down for 30 min. Please accept this amazing track from Club Feet as an apology :P, it's from their 08 release, Gold On Gold . For those of you that don't know who Club Feet is, they're 3 blokes from Victoria, Australia that make some sweet electronic pop! They just played the V Festival in Melbourne earlier this month with M83, Killers, Madness etc (after winning a competition called "Garage to V"). I'm sorry for the maintenance issue, enjoy & expect more from this Aussie trio! Gold On [...]

I think I have stumbled into a genre I had no idea existed, or have I? You tell me. Is this yacht rock? I've know idea but the dreamy vocals, peppy synths and grown up piano lines all add up to something very sophisticated. Clubfeet got in touch about a post we made earlier in the week for the Juan Maclean remix [...]
Clubfeet- Count Your Lovers Whoa! What a good morning it's been. I haven't even had breakfast yet due to some excellent music sent my way. While I was fast asleep EOTB fan Monty from Melbourne, Australia's Clubfeet was kind enough to hook me up with their track "Count Your Lovers." These guys have a really fun electro pop sound which you can hear on their recent album Gold On Gold . Undeniably Clubfeet is one of those groups that is helping maintain Australia's reputation as a solid force in music. [...]

Rolling into a new week which will take us to Paris, Berlin and then next week we're off to the US for SXSW and later on WMC. As you can tell it's busy days here at Discobelle HQ but it's good thing we have this excellent mix by Dominique Keegan (AKA All Dom Wrong, founder of Plant Music and ½ of NYC/Berlin duo The Glass ) to keep us company. The mix features many upcoming unreleased Plant Music tracks including the new single by The Glass (with a Nadastrom remix), new tracks [...]

Yes sir! The original title of this mixtape was "I Could Have Danced All Night" but then I decided to update it for the LOL-cat generation. These songs are for a fancy-casual dance party. For those of you who don't know what that means, it's when you wear what you normally wear and do some fancy dancing. Duh. Ideally, some drinking should happen before this playlist is broken out. People should catch the buzz, but they shouldn't be smangled. Their general level of drunken-ness should be fancy, you know? Unless you're under 21. No drinking should [...]

Clubfeet are from Australia, and according to Big Stereo , their album is "perhaps one of the best albums out of Australia in the past six month." That's saying a lot considering the plethora of talent that Australia has to offer, and that Modular hasn't already signed. I've yet to hear this album by Clubfeet, but after hearing Teenage Suicide, I am tempted to scour for it. Clubfeet - Teenage Suicide

It's the end of the year! Can you believe it? I swear each year goes by faster and faster. The end of the year is a time consolidating the past memories and preparing yourself for new ones. The year end activity is of course, making new year's resolutions...new ones, improving on old ones, or ditching the whole process in generaaaal. I discovered a pretty cool site for you goal-oriented folks called 43 Things where you share your goals with other people, your progress, and at the same time, you can cheer each other on! The most [...]
I thought I would start off my obligatory, but still fun, Best of 2008 musings by taking a brief look back at some of the highlights we covered here at CreamTeam. While we didn't get things off and running until about March of this year, the staff was busting at the seams with pent-up postings. We kicked things off, appropriately enough, with a chopped and screwed Jacko remix courtesy of Marquis. Announced our birth to the world, by burning down the Liars Club. Fed you some WMC coverage and whole lot [...]
I love music videos. In a different, fictitious, far more exciting life, I'd be a director. I love the unique power of a good video to make the music somehow better by association. The video for Melbourne electronic-pop trio Clubfeet's track Teenage Suicide is the perfect example of a great song transformed into amazing with the addition of visuals. Directed by Alex Goddard , the Teenage Suicide video is stylish, minimal and absolutely perfect. Think Gus Van Sant's Elephant meets Larry Clark's Tulsa . This portrait of disaffected [...]
At least for us east coasters, it's rainy and cold outside, and with the holidays still a few weeks away, these last few days have tended to really drag on. While our Friday Mixtape is always worthwhile, for the aforementioned reasons, this week's is particularly awesome. After all, what better way to kick off your weekend then a collection of the week's best new singles and remixes along with mp3s from a few up-and-comers you should definitely check out? Yeah, nothing much. NEW Singles: "Submarines of Stockholm" by [...]
