Instrumental four-piece Hello Cobra play knotty, cacophonous math rock that is almost defiantly chaotic. What structure they have is complex and labyrinthine, and it certainly wouldn't seem to lend itself easily to short form narrative. Los Angeles-based rockin' pop band Thorcraft Cobra have announced that they have confirmed January 8, 2013 as the release date for their debut full-length release, Count It In (Plaza Bowl Records and Tapes) distributed via Red Eye Distribution in the US and Outside in Canada.

The only thing more confusing than the sound of Black Moth Super Rainbow's new album "Cobra Juicy" is who they are  and where the hell they came from.  We do know the band's founding member Tobacco came from Pittsburgh, PA.  (You know, world famous Tobacco).  He then brought in friends Father Hummingbird, The Seven Fields of Aphelion and Iffernaut, also very  common house-hold names.  The band has been going strong since 2002 releasing 5 full-length albums, "Cobra Juicy" being the last, released just this past October 23rd.  BMSR have over a decade of followers who have soaked in their psychedelic, folk-y, [...]

Look, I have a healthy amount of respect for MonstrO . The band is solid on all fronts, and as a unit, they provide ample space for guitarist Juan Montoya to engage in his psychedelic grunge explorations. But listening to instrumental behemoths Stallone unleash one blistering post-metal thunderbolt after another, I can't help but wish that Montoya would commit to this as his primary vehicle for six-string slayage.
