It's only inevitable that, in the current swath of reuniting bands, that Hopesfall would follow suit. The lineup from the EP have gotten back together to play two shows in their homebase of South Caroline, lifting material from their first three releases: Frailty of Words , No Wings to Speak Of , and The Satellite Years . Show details are after the jump. If you're like the staff at Buzzgrinder you were amazed by their refreshing take on melodic hardcore that gave rise to dozens of bands echoing their style. [...]

Circa Survive This was a show I was looking forward to for quite some time now. I had seen three out of the four bands live numerous times and none of the acts have ever disappointed me in a live setting. I arrived at the Regency around showtime, expecting a half full venue with some stragglers filing in, but to my surprise that venue was borderline packed. Which made me feel good about the crowd checking out some of the more talented acts opening for Circa Survive. Animals [...]
Dredg are one of those bands who completely defy categorization but who are unconditionally beloved by a whole army of devoted fans. Myself included; I can honestly say they're one of my favorite bands to emerge over the past 10 or so years. They're also a band that continually evolves from release to release, and [...]
Photo by the esteemed Ms. Jacqueline Cheng. More from their Central Park performance here. If you're a prog nerd and this lineup doesn't get your balls tingling, I'm not sure what will. Circa Survive are a contentious band 'round these parts - you'd be right to say they aren't really metal (and hey fuck you it's [...]
Fresh off being completely blown away by Animals As Leaders at Summer Slaughter, we learn they are coming back in the Fall, with a more hard rock oriented tour. They will be opening up for Circa Survive who are also taking out dredg and Codeseven. This is a pretty sweet tour for Animals as I'm ...

It's always sad to see a band with so much potential split up, especially when their label has no idea how to market the band and ends up throwing them on tour with mediocre emo bands. Codeseven would've had a huge fanbase if it wasn't for just that. However, two bands have spawned from the wreckage. Ex-lead vocalist Jeff Jenkins emerged with the spacey Sundrone while the rest of the band started the cinematic-rock band Telescreen with ex- Classic Case vocalist Jared Draughon. Sundrone , however, [...]

Guerilla Art Press I kind of laugh to myself when people ask me, "Hey what are you doing this Columbus Day weekend?" When I say I have to work, they usually give me that look like I just dented my car. "Oooo, bummer dude." It's no big deal when it comes down to it. Weekends lose their meaning when you have a schedule like mine. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm not even sure how to 'observe' Columbus Day. Well there's always Indigenous Peoples Day . Hooray oppression! [...]
September will forever be associated with returning for a new school year. Realistically it is not a big deal and turning into a grown working bee also means learning to measure your holidays for maximum impact. Yet despite the fact i finished my studies years back without fail on the 31st of August i mourn [...]

Telescreen was formed in the spring of 2007 by members of Codeseven and vocalist Jared Draughon from Classic Case . Both bands went on hiatus and but by some alignment of the stars, they met and started Telescreen . The band transmits the same space rock sound as Codeseven once did, but something sounds calmer and stranger, in a good way of course. In October of 2007, Telescreen released " The Solar Sea " as a digital EP. But they had an odd way of distributing it. Fans of [...]
