Cold Cave drops a loud, distorted new single; the project is teasing toward its next EP, Oceans With No End , which is looking at a release on Deathwish later this year. It's a good track, but drops Cave's typically dark and moody sound. The result is a song that actually reminds me of the Handsome Furs in their best moments. It's a change of pace, but certainly not a terrible one. Enjoy!

Cold Cave Share New Track ‘Oceans With No End’ From Upcoming EP

Cold Cave' s Wesley Eisold is back with a new two-track EP,  Oceans With No End , due out "soon" on Deathwish. In anticipation, he's offered up the pulsing title track that surges ahead with rugged distortion, a wave of a melody, and one zinger of a hook. Stream it below. In related news, former Cold Cave member Justin Benoit passed away in his home last week. Benoit joined the band during the release of 20092s  Love Comes Close and later performed on their split tape with Prurient,  Stars Explode.  He was 35.

There are a lot of bands today doing some take on '80s darkwave, but none are in the class of Wes Eisold's Cold Cave, in my opinion. The band's new release, the Oceans With No End EP, is scheduled for release "soon" via Deathwish , but today, we've got its title track, a claustrophobic synth-goth anthem filled with clanging industrial percussion and smoky feedback swells, beneath which sits a gorgeous melody.
