Adult Swim heeft een traditie opgebouwd door elk jaar een serie singles uit te brengen. Ook dit jaar kwam het televisie kanaal met dertien tracks begeleid t met ieder een eigen cover. Het programma werd afgelopen maandag afgerond met Death Grips als slotstuk. De singles zijn nu gezamenlijk te downloaden als compilatie, die meerdere genres bestrijkt. Zo kom je metalband Absu tegen, punkrock van Wavves, maar (en voor de site meer relevant) ook electronica in de vorm van artiesten zoals The Field, Flying Lotus, Com Truise en Elite Gymnastics. On retrouve ainsi bon nombre d'artistes pop, indie et electro que nous apprécions avec notamment Beacon , Com Truise ou encore Gold Panda , pour ne citer qu'eux. Cette compilation est également l'occasion pour le label d'annoncer leur exposition au Art Directors Club de NYC pour célèbre l'ensemble des artistes ayant collaborer sur les nombreuses couvertures et ce depuis 13 ans.

Not quite as.. melty as previous Com Truise releases, but his glitchy, analog vibes are still definitely felt in the "Learn To Fly" rework. I love Com Truise 's original music, don't get me wrong, but his remix game is impeccable. As is the case with his take on the Knocks' "Learn To Fly". Slicing through with epic synthesizers, as usual, Truise had me thinking I was in the middle of a game of Vice City . Yeah, this sits perfectly with A Flock Of Seagulls, Blondie, and the rest of what was awesome from the '80s. Give this jam a spin and join us in prayer as we hope for some new Com Truise material to grace our existence.
