Dance music veteran Laidback Luke officially released " Pogo " last month, giving fans an electro house beat with an infectious vocal hook from MC Majestic . A fitting name for the bouncy beat, "Pogo" is a combination of Laidback Luke's dirty Dutch roots and Majestic's grime-style vocals creating a hard-hitting production with mass appeal. Zeds Dead & Omar Linx, the true pioneers of letting hip-hop and heavy electronic music exist so organically together, gave away their stems on Beatport last year to spark a remix contest . The result was simply a massive success with Butch Clancy, Michael White and Clark Kent submitting their well grounded contributions. Given our self-proclaimed “We’re #1” title and all, it’s crazy to think that folks are still suffering from Sandy. Sadly they are. Tip of the hat to Ultra Music and their camp of merrymakers for spreading some EDM culture love. The New York based imprint has set up a bunch of auctions on eBay to raise money for MusiCares Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. They’re donating all proceeds earned from the personal items and signed memorabilia they rounded up and we’re told that they too will contribute to the funds donated. About three months ago, Congorock and Stereo Massive released the Reggae-influenced song Bless Di Nation featuring the vocals of dancehall star Sean Paul (pictured).
