Some good timing here: Conor Oberst 's new one-off release, a soundtrack tune for the film Stuck In Love , was just announced for a June 11 arrival date, complete with his Mother's Day-worthy cut, "You Are Your Mother's Child." As previously reported , this song is among 17 tracks due for the Josh Boone-directed drama, scored and performed by Bright Eyes members Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Wolcott. Conor Oberst now has a Gold record to his name, as Bright Eyes' album I'm Wide Awake It's Morning has just sold over 500,000 copies. The album was released in 2005 on Saddle Creek records in Omaha, NE, spurred largely by the album's lead single and supreme bummer jam "Lua" taking the top spot on the Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Sales chart. Omaha's Desaparecidos are returning with the original line up for a small tour this fall. The band released 2002's critically lauded Read Music / Speak Spanish , then stopped playing together for nearly ten years. They returned in 2012 with two self-released 7-inches which can be found here. Conor Oberst (also of Bright Eyes ) will do a handful of solo dates before the tour begins with The Felice Brothers.

Flower Orgy wasn't a band that was on my radar until I heard this new track they released to preview their upcoming 73. My first listen really reminds me of that intimate quality that Conor Oberst had as a bright-eyed young kid. There's light brushes of piano playing behind a quietly strummed guitar. This is definitely a song that I can see myself listening to for some time, which makes me excited to meet the work of Nate Luce and Flower Orgy. The new 73 will be available on May 14th.

Desaparecidos have streamed two new tracks online. The new cuts, entitled 'Anonymous' and 'The Left Is Right', can be streamed over at Rolling Stone right now.
