Ik kwam terecht in de ruime State X/New Forms week en daarna was de Kerst er alweer. Net zoals vorig jaar voelde ik me niet echt weggeblazen. Toegegeven Niveau Zero wist live rake klappen uit te delen, maar zijn album komt uit 2010. Whether it's lo-fi broken kicks, or the ultra pristine snares you find on Kompakt, or the hectic glitched percussion from 90s Warp artists. I'm not the only one who saw this genre become popular, and I'm expecting a lot of great examples next year too. Zowel jonge talenten (Perc, Cosmin TRG, Conforce, Steffi) als oude meesters (Ben Sims, Jeff Mills, Luke Slater's Planetary Assault Systems, Robert Hood) kwamen met nieuw materiaal op de proppen dat bol stond van de kwaliteitstechno.
