The fearsomely talented musician released this, his third album and career-best effort, last November - but now he's given it a reboot in the form of a special edition. So we got Edie Lawrence to have a sit down with Cosmo Jarvis ahead of his show at Southampton's Joiners for her first piece with Critical Wave. This is how it went. Cosmo Jarvis isn’t quite a household name. Yet. The proud author of hundreds of songs, four albums, including a double, and a self-penned, produced and directed feature film, Jarvis’s career trajectory is slowly but surely upwards. Anyone familiar with his work will be aware of the heart-on-sleeve autobiographical nature of many of his songs, along with a powerful ability to tell an engaging and thought-provoking story. We've kind of been frothing over COSMO JARVIS recently. The ridiculously talented dude always seems to be keeping himself busy with some sort of artistic project. He's released his third LP  Think Bigger , followed by a couple of singles and clips that feature on the new album. He's also very recently premiered his feature film  The Naughty Room . The Jazz Cafe is a curious venue on the gentrified southern edge of Camden Town, North London. The venue was originally a bank - which may explain the bar prices. When it became a live jazz venue, it was modeled on the West End’s famous Ronnie Scott's and has grown into a place where there is much more than jazz, allowing for the ecleticism of acts like Mad Dog Mcrea and Cosmo Jarvis. The venue is fairly small, holds 350 people and is arranged on two floors - you’re never far from the stage and mezzanine viewing area [...]

The fact that Cosmo Jarvis probably spent under $100 for his new video "Tell Me Who To Be" yet still managed to make it one of the more enjoyable and creative videos I've seen in a while is an impressive feat in its own right. Add in a song that is catchy as hell and tells one of those signature stories that Cosmo always seems to incorporate into his tunes, and you've got yourself an all around winner in the world of music. The Devon singer/songerwriter's latest single 'Love This' taken from his album ' Think Bigger ' ended up in my library first from the great video , directed by the man himself.
