Cosmo Jarvis - She's Got You Found this gem on the poplar list from Hype Machine. This kid is only 19-20 years old out of the U.K., though he was born in New Jersey. He's written about roughly 250 songs, and this one involves a ukulele.
It's well established that I'm a sucker for ukuleles, so it should come as no surprise that I'm posting this spunky track from Cosmo Jarvis, born in New Jersey in 1990 and raised in England. In the UK he hung out with the skater crowd, creating all sorts of ruckuses and probably driving his father nuts with his "Jackass"-type video stunts, until the day when future label boss Mark Jones threw a

I just discovered this amazing new artist! Cosmo Jarvis/ myspace , what an awesome name to have! Based in the UK, this talented artist already has an album out titled "HUMASYOUHITCH / SONOFABITCH". His diverse collection of music and a good voice alone makes him worth checking out. As I was browsing his myspace music page, one of the songs with the title "Jessica Alba's Number" caught my eye. It starts off sort of with a country vibe then morphs into a really humorous and catchy tune with clever lyrics that goes on about how he would be lucky have [...]

The debut album is split into two halves, as Cosmo explains himself! The first, 'Humasyouhitch' you might call the 'fun' side, packed with playful vignettes of sexual awakening or as Cosmo self-deprecatingly puts it, songs written "when I was discovering I had a penis and girls had vaginas and all that kind of thing." The songs [...]

In these dark, recession busting times, we all need something to cheer us up a bit. 19 year old Cosmo Jarvis – born in New Jersey, raised in Devon - is here to do just that, lighting up our credit-crunched lives with his humorous musical ditties about Jessica Alba and Britney Spears. Ok, ok, as you've probably guessed, his music is nothing mind blowing - but it's cheerful and it's bright, and really, what's so wrong with that? Strumming sunnily upon his acoustic, Jarvis' lyrics are packed full of teenage hormones with [...]

before we started we were already over, because i can't talk to girls when i'm sober Cosmo Jarvis - Mel's Song The maturity of Cosmo Jarvis' lyrics are on par with the above artwork but don't hold that against him. Just because most guys don't sing about their balls or body odor doesn't make Mel's Song any less sharp, witty, catchy, or generally rocking. This is one where you are going to want to listen to the lyrics because it is a hilarious and "potentially touching" (ha!) story about meeting [...]
