Wow. I think I just came across something special. After never hearing a thing about Cougar, I was absolutely blindsided by this tour de force. There are similarities to Explosions In the Sky (my go-to Ambien), but "Endings" has a more upbeat, "experimental rock" feel to it. There are no vocals involved; it's just one of those instrumentals that has completely taken a hold of me. I was recently introduced to the Wisconsin based band, Cougar , by way of their not so new album, 'Patriot' (released in 2009, Ninja Tune). I actually came across their music by mistake, which I of course don't regret because I've been listening to 'Patriot' repeatedly ever since.
