"A farmer sprayed milk on policemen during a protest against falling milk prices outside the E.U.’s headquarters in Brussels, where agricultural ministers discussed its policies at an emergency meeting." It sort of looks like Dale Earnhardt Jr. was taking a break from NASCAR races to help with the protest, doesn't it? [via clusterflock ]

Type Spider-Cow into Google images and a plethora of spider-man cows will grace your screen. When did this start happening? Why cows? Are there lots of other spider-man costume inspired animals out there all waiting to be gazed upon? This one is £489 +VAT if you like what you see.

Was very excited to learn that there is a Documentary being made about Amphetamine Reptile Records called The Color of Noise . Kind of made my day yesterday. Also that I'm going to be able to contribute some live footage of HELMET that has been hiding out in my basement since 1991 when they played with Jawbox. We'll see if it makes the cut. The director Eric Robel interviews Tom Hazelmyer who ran the ship at Am/Rep and if the trailer is any indication judging on the graphics alone it looks amazing. Such an amazing roster [...]

Coilguns Stadia Rods Dead Dead Dead Music 15 March 2012 by Hugh Platt One of the most maddening things about people's reactions to side-projects - particularly those involving members of their favourite bands - it's that people get the huff when said side-projects don't sound like the band that they're a side project of. So if you're [...]

If you can imagine a cheese-addled dream version of The Mars Volta improvising a pantomime with the ghost of Frank Zappa in place of a dame, you're halfway towards comprehending the utterly bewildering, nonsensical, infectiously bonkers contents of this EP. And even if you can't imagine it, you should give it a go anyway. Just for shits and giggles. Read more..

![[Review/Listen] – Bonnie “Prince” Billy – “Wolfroy Goes To Town”](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3834286_lg.jpg)
Tweet Will Oldham, better known as Bonnie “Prince” Billy , has a pretty well solidified spot in amongst today’s very best folk artists. He’s in with damned enviable company in Oberst, Waits, and Callahan to name a few. With obvious ease, Oldham has consistently churned out expertly crafted, honest, brooding music for more than a decade. In fact, he’s been so bloody consistent at it for so many years that he’s achieved a transcendence of age that’s characteristic of so many icons. It’s like he’s [...]
Funny, not altogether positive review . . . So then the girl on our left decided she needed to step in front of B and lean on the railing to watch the concert and that was the end of our stay there. I really can’t complain too much because she came with a guy who was actually sitting on a stool because he was most likely hurt in a war defending our country. And on the other side of the hall there were privileged folks who had probably paid a lot of money for [...]

Last week, I had the opportunity to see and chat with Ruckus faves Two Cow Garage at one of my favorite venues, Southgate House in Newport, KY. Ideal, right? And yet I am ashamed to even write that sentence. You see, I am a Columbus transplant. Two Cow is a band with its roots in Columbus. It is ridiculous (and entirely my fault) that the first chance I got to catch them live and sit down for a chat happened in not only another city but another state . Thankfully, there were no hard feelings and I [...]

The decision of who to use for this week's Top 3 was made for me when John Schnabel sent me a few pictures of Micah in the studio where he is currently recording his new solo album, I'm Dead, Serious . While the decision of who to use may have been easy. The decision of which 3 songs to choose was not. This may be seen as sacrilege to some but going through the Two Cow Garage discography and trying to narrow my choices down to 3 songs made me realize how strong Two Cows body of [...]
