The Crash Kings are an L.A. rock/pop trio that made it official in 2006. Formed by brothers Tony Beliveau (vocals & keys) & Mike Beliveau (on bass), friend Jason Morris (drums) joins the brothers Beliveau to round out the threesome. After seeing the band play, producer Linda Perry (formerly of 4 Non Blondes) signed them to her Custard Records label and helped to get the band's first album rolling. The Duke Spirit's scorching soul-rock has always been good for a knockout punch (or three). But just because the London quintet's new album is titled "Bruiser," don't think it's a facsimile of their first two albums, "Cuts Across the Land" (2005) and "Neptune" (2008.)
