"Oreo Crumb Case is a 'tea bag' enclosure for Oreo crumbs that will infuse your milk with Oreo flavor. After all, Oreo is milk's favorite cookie." Click on image to make larger

Crumbs Crumbs - Meet The Freak
Well, hello there! It's good to see you -- thank goodness we got through that gray and dreary Monday over here.
This Thursday, New Raleigh , WKNC, and Tir Na nOg form into the trinity of awesomeness to bring you The Loners , The Huguenots , and Special Guests. I have never NEVER been disappointed by a Loners show. Rock Duo. Plain and simple. "The Loners have a unique history in the Raleigh music scene. They can be considered the diamond in the rough (the rough being the closing of Kings Barcade in downtown Raleigh in the spring of 2007). After reuniting to play the last show at Kings, the band decided [...]

Four tracks from four nuschool beatmakers today. Australian beatmaker Crumbs' first EP was featured on undomondo recently. His second EP Pieces and Portions Vol. 2, another free download on bandcamp , dropped a month ago. Another Australian, our friend Tim Shiel aka Faux Pas also has a new one called Vanderbilt, up for grabs. Includes a lovely Crumbs remix as well!. The other two are off UK beatmaker Huess ' new EP Broke on Inaudible Answer and an older one but that deserves as much praise [...]

What's the best thing about writing for a music blog? Your constantly meeting great producers, DJs, musicians as well as receiving a shit load of free music! Yep, it's that simple. Enter Faux Pas who introduced himself to me a few years back while eagerly downloading a bunch of digital cumbia from the blog. After sending me the links to his back catalog I was nothing short of blown away! You know those people who seem to have an endless supply of original thinking and creative hustle? Well [...]

CRUMBS - Pigeons Kissing It's not the kind of jam you can instantly "vibe" with, being all heavy (I'm talking in terms of actual weight here) and smacked out and kind of remote, but once that instant's passed and them tremulant synths are creeping in over the fluctuating bass, shit gets pretty earworm-y pretty quick. This is a massive track; it smothers your eardrums in bass and ecstatic buzz and some sublime falsetto vox. Crumbs is the solo project of Max Kohane, who's previously scored a win with Brain Children , [...]

Going through the depths of my hd, I remembered Melbourne beatmaker CRUMBS' Pieces & Portions Vol. 1 EP - Cop it now if you're into Dilla/Fly-Lo style jazzy+electronic beats. Free download on Bandcamp. crum drum drum by CRUMBS CRUMBS - Happy Smiling Otter Paw CRUMBS - Moon Relish CRUMBS - Dribbles

CRUMBS - 'Fantasy in Public' ( mp3 ) CRUMBS - 'Dribbles' ( mp3 ) CRUMBS is the moniker under which Melbourne drummer Max Kohane (Agents of Abhorrence, Cut Sick, Pivixki) releases his dabbles in electronic beats. His pedigree as a drummer shines through, with a strong emphasis on rhythm and syncopation permeating the samples and kicks featured on his recently released Pieces and Portions, Vol. 1 EP - which you can download for free here . Apparently he has lent his beat-making skills to the [...]
So here's round two of what might be a never ending stream of pop punk coming out of my speakers. I wasn't going to include the China Drum song this early in the series, but a message from my guy Jeff (of the great Rocket Fuel podcast) the other day about the band prompted me to include it here. I've also included a song from The Caddies that I'm guessing approximately 5 or 6 other people have ever heard. Enjoy. MP3 | Bad Religion - American Jesus [...]

I bought this book last week for next to nothing and kinda speed read it while my twins were at Judo. The Polysyllabic Spree is a collection of book reviews Nick Hornby wrote for The Believer magazine during the years 2003 and 2004. A few things struck me while reading it. Firstly were the wise words from Nick when he advises in the introduction to stop reading a book if it's not good! Great advice! I'm often struck by hearing people saying it was a good book but I struggled through it! Why struggle? I suppose it's like music blogs, [...]
