Crystal Fighters are about to release a new full-length by the end of this month titled Cave Rave . The album was written in the Basque hills of Spain, a region that has been integral to Crystal Fighters sound, having greatly inspired the bands debut album Star Of Love . Crystal Fighters are one of those bands that I can depend on to put out funky music that will likely get me going on a slow day. They proved me right with the release of another single, "LA Calling," from their album Cave Rave , in stores on 5/27. For a band who made their reputation with a track called 'I Love London' its pretty pertinent that Crystal Fighters are all about LA now. Their early bite has been replaced with a generic euphoria and, although its hard to hate their new tunes, there's a sense that they've lost something in the transition from underground favorites to Radio-1 staples.
