Kid Cudi just released the artwork for his new single, I didn't post the track when it first came out but there is some new mystery to the track. Cudi went to his facebook page today to say: "JUST WHAT I AM... coming October 2nd" which is pretty peculiar considering the tracks already out. Perhaps that means a video or an itunes version but who knows... could mean an EP or mixtape. We'll have to wait and see, but for now enjoy the track and the new artwork.
This seems to have been lifted from a Festive Fifty rundown: That concludes the 2012 Cud-jet. It's affordable, it's enjoyable, and I commend this Cud-jet to the house. -- Visit No Rock & Roll Fun to comment, complain and kvetch

With Cudi being on tour at the moment, The Cud Life Tour decided to capture every moment in every city that Cudi travels to. The vids drop about ever 3 days with new content of Cudi performing or laughing it up with friends but out all 21 so far, number 19 is my favorite. It's been flipping ages since I've roused myself to rip some old vinyl for use on a blog post, so it's high time I rectified this sorry state of affairs I reckon. In which case, please accept these three seemingly random yet suspiciously decent choices from my stack of early-mid-90s indie twelve-inchers. Cud - Rich & Strange mp3 I've always had a soft spot for Cud, despite the fact that they once released a single with the cringingly awful title Purple Love Balloon (which still didn't stop me buying it [...]

Feast your mince pies on Swedish popsters of yesteryear, Skip'z. Phwoarr! eh, readers? Aren't they dreamy? (especially the bloke second from the right.) Skip'z are just one of over fifty equally sartorially-challenged Swedish dance bands from the seventies pictured over on this fantastic webpage . (muchos credit and [ahem] a big shout-out must go to my old mucker Jon H here for sending me that link in the first place. Ta, matey!) Words can't really do justice to the mind-boggling sights on offer over there, anyway, so let's just have some more band pics and some suitable [...]

Well, I know these have been posted before, but I figure that you might like to hear these if you haven't before... First up, my support of Lightspeed Champion this year annoyed a few folks, but I stand by it, especially when he does covers as good as these... OK, part two of my attempt to fill in the blanks of Rhino's worthy but incomplete Brit Box chronicling the UK indie scene from 1985 - 2000. (Part One, or Disc Five, is here.) Mind you, these are filtered through...
The good folks at Rhino always manage to release at least one killer box set a year, and in 2007 it looks to be The Brit Box: U.K. Indie, Shoegaze, and Brit Pop Gems of the Last Millennium. It collects...
I always lumped Cud in with the likes of Stump and Bogshed, Peel favorites favoring angular sounds and wacky song titles. Their new compilation though "Rich And Strange" highlight that was just one side of the band who progressed from a shambolic, sound to almost polished quirkiness on their last album. In their career they even dented the UK singles charts a couple of times. The release of
