To be completely honest, I wasn't that into Cut City 's full length "Exit decades" . A few solid tracks to be sure, but it didn't hold my attention. Deleted Art will be releasing the new Cut City EP "Narcissus can wait" on 12" in December.
Cut City has a new 5-song 12" EP on the way via Deleted Art in cooperation with German labels Altin Village and Monoton Records. No release date yet, but they are tentatively saying November.

Sad news from Belarus (the band, not the country!): they have decided to call it quits. A debut album was almost finished, but will now probably never see the light of day. What a shame! Just to freshen up your memory: Belarus was a Brit-Rock-band with a promising future, and their catchy-as-hell hymn Standing In The Right Place ended up as my fifth-favourite single of 2006 . Cut City formed in 2002 around the local Deleted Art label, sort of the swedish counter-part to U.S. art-punk imprints like Three One G and Tapes Records. In May 2005 they issued a 4-song EP on the california-based Gold Standard Labs label, home to such acts as The Locust, Year Future, Gogogo Airheart and many more. It was actually pretty funny to hear the stories that were rampant a week or so ago about the new Interpol leaking. The true fact was that it was not Interpol at all that leaked rather it was the new album Exit Decades from Gothenburg, Sweden's Cut City.
