Deadmau5 straying away from his signature house beats to a more laid back, deep base, old school hip-hop beat. Cypress Hill has been collaborating with Rusko to release their EP set to drop in April and have decided to continue their collaboration my infusing the Deadmau5 into their hip-hop act. This track is completely different flow and rhythm than any of mau5's previous works, but this track is nice.

Late last night Deadmau5 announced that sometime last year he had recorded a track with Cypress Hill - yes, as in the West-coast rap group. Joel calls the track "plantstep" but it is really an old school hip hop track infused with some dub and bass. We realize that DA is a blog for EDM but this just shows Deadmau52s versatility and his passion for the music industry and also shows how artists like Cypress Hill are trying to stay current. SmokeOut festival a full day of celebrating music and that magical herb that cures all ailments. This was my first trip to the festival but not to the NOS center so I already expected the traffic which gave me the perfect opportunity to mentally prepare for the event.
